Never too earlyToo early to start a trip report for a trip commencing in exactly 5 weeks? Asking for a friend.
That looked like my area last week!We got off lightly compared to areas nearby. That being said, it’s still coming down.
Mike has shovelled three (maybe four?) times already.

How does one check this?So Google Maps has kind of creepily been tracking my stats from the past year. And even though it's really creepy, it's kind of cool. I pretty much stayed home in all of 2021.
I went to 1 country, 22 cities, and 110 places. My lowest travel month (by miles) was June. My highest was August. I drove (or was riding in a car) for 13,831 miles for a total of 715 hours. I traveled 57% of the way around the world.
That's way more than I have traveled in the last 2 years. So Google Maps has kind of creepily been tracking my stats from the past year. And even though it's really creepy, it's kind of cool. I pretty much stayed home in all of 2021.

A quick investigation (Google ) shows this only works if you have your location switched on on your device .How does one check this?
I’m assuming I do. Mike used to follow my route when I was bike riding this summer. He was always paranoid I was going to fall and break my leg. (I swear, you fall one time and break your leg, and nobody lets you forget about it. )A quick investigation (Google ) shows this only works if you have your location switched on on your device .
Hardly seems worthwhile on a 65 sq km island. Google would just be drawing a lot of circles since the pandemic hit.I’m assuming I do. Mike used to follow my route when I was bike riding this summer. For the record, I can track his phone too. Handy for knowing how soon he would be home from work and when I should start supper. (You know, during those 5 months I was stuck at home recuperating from a broken leg. )
I have an APP that I share with my daughter. It shows where my "phone" is in relation the world. She wanted to have it because as I have gotten older, she is concerned more about my health. Her logic is that if she calls me and I don't answer she can see where I am. If it goes to long without my replying then she figures that something might have happened and will check it out. The major drawback of living alone. For me it let's me know when they travel places where they are in real time. If they are driving I can track their progress and no longer require the parental insistence that they call when they get there. If I abused it and watch all the time I would indeed die of boredom, she works from home and only goes shopping occasionally.I’m assuming I do. We have a similar size location in the states that we called Alcatraz.Hardly seems worthwhile on a 65 sq km island. Google would just be drawing a lot of circles since the pandemic hit.
I'm not sure... I got an email about it. I think there may be a Timeline section to Google Maps. How does one check this?
Don't get excited... most of it is just traveling back and forth to work, and it's counting cities that I just drove through but didn't stop at.That's way more than I have traveled in the last 2 years.
My "commute" takes 3 minutes and 26 seconds ,on a good day.Don't get excited... most of it is just traveling back and forth to work, and it's counting cities that I just drove through but didn't stop at.
