Our schools are closed for Veterans Day.

We don't have Velveeta here, but my husband says American cheese isn't "cheese". He says all of it is like plastic. I don't like cheese unless it's melted and cheeses like gouda and edam don't melt well, so it's not my thing.

I make my Mac and cheese with a cheddar Gouda mix, it melts well in there. I used to like Edam cheese but I don’t see it around much any more.

Considering the weather there, I would think that the appropriate punishment for that would be making you stay.

And now tomorrow morning is supposed to be negative degree windchill. Last year's winter was awful, but it didn't start until January. I'm hoping this one doesn't last until May like last year.

Today Madison got 2.5 inches of snow. The past record for November 11th was 2 inches set in 1891. That was 118 years ago.

So we had one day without snow. Tomorrow morning's commute should be good, but the commute home is supposed to be snowy again.
