One school around here already closed for tomorrow AND Wednesday. They were closed today, too. I'm actually getting tired of sitting at home doing nothing. It'd be different if the weather allowed us to actually go out and do something.

Home heaters aren't meant for the type of cold we're going to get, so they are telling us to turn our heat up 4 degrees more than we normally would have it because it won't be able to sustain the temperature it's set to.

That's nuts. You just reminded me to call my oil delivery company - I'm down to a quarter tank and the temps are supposed to be in the low teens this week.

Speaking of snow, after today's snow storm, plows can't clear roads like they're supposed to because when they push it onto the curbs, it just falls right back into the road.

Just back from taking Auntie and the late Sir Bentley the Dude to the vet for the last time.

They told her 48 hrs. She got 11 days. Doesn’t make it hurt any less.

Oh no. Somehow, I misunderstood your message this morning. I didn't realize that Sir Bentley had just passed away. So sorry for her loss. Dogs are such special animals that God shares with us, for a certain amount of time. My sympathies to your Auntie.

Schools are starting to close around here for either tomorrow or through Wednesday. A major university in southern Wisconsin has cancelled all classes and activities through 8am on Friday.

I buy a new toaster oven every two years approximately. (Don’t worry, I always clean up the old one and give it to someone.)

Anyway, I ordered a new one on Thursday, and boo-yah, it came today.

My district was closed today because of snow and through Wednesday because of cold. I'm not looking forward to -53 windchill.

Nope, that’s the next model up.

We have a split oven which is convection. The top oven which is the one we use mostly, preheats in less than 2 minutes.

This toaster oven is for toast, leftover pizza, chicken strips, etc. It will get used 5-6 times/day.

We almost never use the microwave.

DW put a toaster oven on our wedding registry. I was like, “why do we need a toaster oven for?” 6 1/2 years later, what a dumb question that was.

I never use a toaster oven, but I am a total fan of air fryers now.
