The more I though about it the more I felt I needed to use some of my china. It just didn’t feel like Christmas dinner without it. So I got down on the floor to get 2 plates, a small plate and a bowl to use. I also got out my crystal candleholders. It was worth the discomfort, and it satisfied me.

Here was our table.

We're going to the zoo today! We can't celebrate Christmas until tomorrow (26th) because my nephew is with his mom today. But DS has been asking to go to the zoo to see the bighorn sheep again, and they are open on Christmas, so off to the zoo we go! I'm hoping it won't be really busy. Most things are closed here on Christmas, and Dutch people aren't huge Amusement Park on holidays people as far as I know, so we'll see. But I'm hoping the sheep calm DS a bit. Even if I do nothing but sit with him next to the sheep enclosure, it will be worth it. (nice that the bighorn sheep are INSIDE. :D )

I’m going to the zoo tomorrow too. No bighorn sheep though, just a bunch of raucous relatives.

Ha!! We're at my in-laws'....pretty close to a zoo! But we're going to the REAL zoo...if my husband ever wakes up. Zoo opens at 9, and I told him I wanted to be there pretty close to rope drop. It's 8:40 and he's snoring away. He stayed up late last night. *sigh*

Enjoy your day. I’ve placed our gifts under the tree and am going to sleep. I’ll leave the rest for Santa to do.
