Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

The prices on the menu are high but each dish is meant to serve 3-4 people. We ordered a salad, an appetizer and 2 meals and had three BIG eaters and one Ski and had a LOT leftover and we were too full for dessert.
Yeah, what she said.

The entire bill came to $158 for four people - would easily have fed five, if I’d been feeling well enough to accompany them. For five, that would have worked out to just over $30/person ... in NYC, in the heart of the Theatre District. Very reasonable actually!

In a cab headed back to the hotel, and everyone is dreaming about leftovers. Except me. I’m not ready for food yet.

Pics from Billy Joel. It was a great concert, interspersed with at least 1/2 dozen Christmas songs, which I really appreciated.

I said to to @NYwdwfan, “Same time next year?” I’ll let her answer for herself.

Before Billy, we had a bit of time to kill, so we headed over to the zoo that is called Macy’s on 34th.

I had tried to book an appointment to see Santa, but he was totally booked. Shocker.

I see ESB. I think this was our first real night time glimpse of it.

Santa wears flip flops. Just saying.

We fly home tomorrow night, but before that we have lunch at a Brazilian steakhouse. Well, the boys do. I’m not eating anything of substance until we get home.

Hopefully someone takes pics for me.

Sorry guys, this has not been the food pic heavy TR you are accustomed to.

If you want to know though, I am currently sipping some ginger ale. Schweppes, not Canada Dry.

The pictures don't do it justice at all - just took them with my phone - but it was really quite pretty, and it was nice to see the train running again.

That's been on my bucket list for years to go down there during the Christmas season. I'd also like to see the Elms, Marble House, and Rosecliff all decked out for Christmas, too. Glad you were able to get there and enjoy the Breakers.

Many people visiting down there? (I'm sure the weekends draw bigger crowds, but I was just curious about weekday attendance.)

So happy you got to see him in person. Deja vu for me, back in his turn of the century concert, in 2000, at Madison Square Garden (which I've mentioned here in the past). He puts on such an excellent show.

Lotion with cocoa butter or vitamin E. I use Palmers cocoa butter formula with vitamin E...make sure you rub it into your cuticles really well. It's kind of greasy...you can put some on and then put on a very little bit of some regular lotion...I use Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe lotion, to cut down on the greasy feel.
Just bought Palmers. Stopping the anti bacterial soap for a 20181220_071124.jpgweek did not improve my symptoms. Hopefully Palmers will help.

We usually go earlier in December, but we were in FL then, so I feared that the crowds would be bad, but they really weren't. We went in the afternoon to avoid the school groups.Rosecliff isn't open during the holidays, just Marble House, The Elms, and The Breakers. We usually do at least 2 of them, but I think this year we just won't have time.

This trip has been much slower paced than normal, but we’ll be back, so it’s all good.

Found it.

Yep. I don't know if it was that sugar house where he was "confined" (his pension papers say he was "confined in the sugar house" until he was exchanged was the word he used, I think. I'm not sure what that means...if some British soldiers were let go in exchange for letting some of the captured militia go, or what. But...I'd just like to see it anyway. I find it to be interesting history.
