Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

We had hoped the castle lights would be on by the time we left there but we still had a half hour or so to kill before the official lighting so the only ride with minimal wait was Tiki Birds so we headed that way. Granddaughter absolutely loved it, clapping to the music and drumming with the drummers.

From there we headed over to see Elsa light the castle. It’s always breathtaking to see it lit up that way.

At this point DH and I had decided to head over to Epcot to thank the Phoenicians and watch Illuminations one last time, so we parted ways with DD and family and caught the next monorail. SSE greeted us as we entered with a 35 minute wait, which wasn’t bad and moved right along. It was a little sad to see how badly this needs to be worked on though. Then it was one to World Showcase with a quick stop in Club Cool.

We still had about an hour before Illuminations and frankly we were both exhausted. Between the lack of sleep the night before, the 3 parks we had been to, the crowds, and my knee that doesn’t do well with the monorail ramps we decided to just call it a night and head back to WL. We could see the start of the MK fireworks out the bus window and watched the rest from our balcony, followed softly by the electrical pageant.

Anyway, we had a lot of fun all in all, but it was pretty busy here this weekend. Considering this was just kind of a bonus trip from my sister and her husband, and that our daughter and her little family were able to join us for a while, I’d say life is pretty darn good!
Sometimes a quick-trip is good medicine. Though there's no denying crowds can drain it all out of you. Is your daughter's family staying longer this week? Maybe they'll get some relief after the weekend rush.

They’re flying back to MD tonight. Hopefully the weather cooperates .

From Beach Club we took the bus over to MK, where our daughter and her little family had spent the morning. We met over at the People Mover which had quite a long line with multiple switchbacks. We had late lunch ADR’s at Liberty Tree Tavern, so we headed over that way to see if perhaps they could get us in sooner (15 minutes) but they could not, which was totally understandable. Meanwhile the parade was about to arrive, so we spotted a place to watch it from. I’m not a big parade fan, but it was a good way to pass the time.

I’m not a big parade fan either but probably because these were the floats of my childhood:
