If any of you are interested in old-school, 1970's WDW, I posted a small "trip report" just awhile ago from when my parents first visited in late 1975. This was during the start of America's Bicentennial celebration. The pictures in the trip report are only of old postcards, brochures, park map, etc. that I found today in an old scrapbook while helping my Dad pack up some things at his house.

The "trip report" can be found here:

Hot topic making the rounds: in 2 threads now (N&R, and also in General) about parking fees for onsite hotel guests.

Addendum: It's now in three separate threads--I just glanced in the hotels thread and a new one started there too! :p

It’s absolutely crazy to me that structures built HUNDREDS of years ago by men with tools not machines and designed by hand without the assistance of computer aided design programs are standing strong today and this structure was less than a week old and fell. Catastrophic failure on so many levels and innocent people lost their lives. Just awful.

Apparently, it was under a stress test when it fell. Not 100% confirmed though. My question is if it is normal to conduct a stress test on a bridge like this with traffic flowing underneath? Seems like it shouldn't.
