Our kids start the day after Labour Day and go to the very end of June. Two weeks off at Christmas and one week for March Break. Two days for Easter (Good Friday and Easter Monday) and then a handful of single days throughout the year.

According to the Ontario Teachers’ website, a school year consists of 194 school days.

We are more like Canada - start after labor day and thru and of June. Days off in Sept/Oct if the Jewish holidays fall on week days, then off Thanksgiving, a week at Christmas, MLK day, a week in February, a week in April & Memorial day.

Who said anything about coconut?! Actually I’ve never had it - I only recently started eating coconut. It was on a short list of things I won’t eat: coconut, feta and mackerel (sushi). We’re down to just mackerel.

Coconut cream pie is marginally better than banana cream pie.
Feta is the best cheese in the world.
Sushi/mackerel and cold rice - gross.

One of our consultants told me yesterday that it's going to be pretty nasty so make sure I have milk for my little ones. Milk? They're 12 and 14. My biggest worry is the satellite goes out and we don't have enough shows in the DVR to watch.

Start after Labor Day, we get Thanksgiving Thursday and Black Friday off, usually around a week off for Christmas, depending on what day of the week it falls on, one week for spring break, Memorial day, and we got one Friday off in October. No other days off. We end June 5th.
