I thought I was buying silver wrapping paper at Target last week. When I got home I realized it was clear wrap.

It's an easy mistake to make...I did that once, too. It LOOKS silver on the roll.

I've officially made it through my first "last week of school before winter break" week! And it was a FULL five days! It actually wasn't as bad as expected, but that's because 3 or the 5 days I only had 12 kids because there were a bunch who were sick.

Also, if you ever want to get a lot of presents, become an elementary school teacher. I have a lot of thank you notes to write out.

Nope. I got a big box of 30 Sharpies, which had to be expensive. I got a $20 gift card and a pad of paper with my name on it from one person. I got a water bottle, pad of paper, and a $10 gift card from another student. A few others got me candy or homemade treats. One got my a mug and a $5 gift card.

Okay, I’m done. Last gift wrapped. Gifts neatly stacked and bagged, depending upon destination. Mess cleaned up.

Cleaning lady comes tomorrow. And then all I have to do is pick up corn, carrots, and crescent rolls - the three C’s.

Yep a white Christmas for me in Wisconsin, we have had snow on the ground for about 2 weeks, not much though it is barely an inch.

Congrats on making it through Christmas week! As a middle school teacher I get the craziness from the kids this week but not as many presents. I always get a couple. This year was my favorite was a 5x7 picture. It is of the student (in a bear hat) and Santa. It is so hilarious and totally that kid, I love it!

I’m watching The Santa Clause 2.

I’d forgotten how very good some of it is, and how very (very, very) bad the rest is.

That being said, I 100% remember it being much better than the third instalment.
