I only went to the Pirates one.

I went to that one and the legends of imagineering. Both panels were must dos for me. Actually Marty's response to the upcoming change with the redhead in pirates actually made me more (not completely) ok with the change.

That's very sad. I saw him at two panels at the D23 Expo in 2015. Another Imagineer that worked with Walt gone.

His comments about Pirates didn't change my opinion one bit. If anything it just made me angry. I don't know what happened but Sklar had been excusing every bad decision by Disney for a while.

The changes coming to Pirates are just dreadful. @TP2000 described it best as, "a bizarre episode of Antiques Roadshow."

Well, that was unexpected. As @ajrwdwgirl mentioned, she saw him within the past 2 weeks.

Although I did not agree with some of his more recent views on things, the fact remains that he was one of the most talented imagineers for Disney, down through the years. His legacy will live on, and he will be missed.

So sad, I just had the pleasure of hearing him at two of the D23 expo panels. What a great contributor he was to Disney.
