I hear this is going to be the best killer shark-themed global warming film since Al Gore's 'An Inconvenient Tooth.'

Anybody see PotC5 yet and want to talk about it?
We really enjoyed it. Saw it in a VIP theatre which was awesome.

I'm a fan of the franchise, so I'm not entirely unbiased. I've seen all but the first at the theatre. Because of this, the first instalment is definitely not ranked as highly as it should be.

My rankings, using their numerical order, because I'm too lazy to look up the full title:
PotC 2 - Davy Jones
PotC 1 - The Original
PotC 5 - Capt. Salazar
PotC 4 - Blackbeard
PotC 3 - Shrug - Tia Dalma, right?

Full sized leather recliners? Yes, please.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it on Monday when I saw it. I won't dive into spoiler-territory out here in open waters, but thought a few of the twists & turns of the plot were done nicely. The ending was fantastic!

Please tell me you stayed until after the credits for the surprise cameo.

Si! I'm a credit watcher. Couldn't wait to get home to Google if I saw what I think I saw, and what it might mean. PM me your thoughts.

My son liked it but said it was a bit confusing. But he liked it a lot.

We saw a sign the other day that they are building one not far from my house! I'm really excited. There are none near me and I've never had it ever in my whole entire life.
Seriously? Oh you poor thing! A small strawberry cheesecake Blizzard is a beautiful thing!

This is from the other week, as Mikey just walked in empty handed.

Is it open up there yet?
While ours is definitely seasonal, it always opens the weekend before Valentine's Day for cakes - the only DQ treat I do not care for.

It was, for me, one of the least confusing in the series. It pulled from the previous movies quite a bit, so there were some familiar characters and plot lines.

I only spent one scene hiding behind my jean jacket - the one with the sharks. I'm easily startled, so icky creatures that leap from the sea make me jump.

The bank scene was brilliant comedy.

My aunt did not believe me that young Jack Sparrow was really a CGI reverse-aged Johnny Depp. Had I not known it going in, I would not have believed it either. A young, 20-something Jack Sparrow was worth the price of admission alone.

I'm watching the Jays game right now (of course I am) and without a word of a lie, I've seen a Pirates ad at least 20 times. Not sure if that's because Disney thinks it's a dud, and is trying to prop it up, or if they just want to guarantee its success.

I definitely liked it more than the critics seem to.
