^ Good taste in music.

I'm planning on seeing Pirates tomorrow night in IMAX 3D (the movie, not the baseball team). Yes, the reviews are a mess. Yes, it will probably be a step down from the original trilogy. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to it. Bring on Monday night, savvy.

Cool. I'm going to a VIP theatre on Wednesday to see it. The tickets were given to me as a gift, and Auntie is going to be my Plus One, instead of Mike.
Even if it's terrible, I agree, it should still be fun.

Enjoy!

"The Circle of Life" would be fitting.
Yeah well, pray for me. There were a few things I couldn't bring myself to throw out, but didn't want to put back in the fridge because they were coming up on their "best before" date ... so I ate them.

Picture it - one small slice of pizza (leftover from Wednesday), a single (really salty) pepperoni stick, and a peach fruit cup (that quite frankly I thought was mandarine orange slices until I ate the first mouthful).

We're barbecuing steak tonight and I'm going to make a lovely salad. Problem is, I'm not really that hungry.

I am, however, quite thirsty.

Mike just emptied the hot tub, and is now standing in a couple of inches of water scrubbing the sides and spraying out the nozzles, jets, and filters.

It just started lightning like crazy, so he had better get the heck out; because unlike a certain someone, he DOES NOT have great life insurance!

And he's tall, which lightning preys upon. He'd better get back inside quick, or find a taller person to stand near him.

OK, I can take a hint. I'm on my way. Should I clean the leaves out of your gutters too as long as I'm there?

Happy Memorial Day to all of my U.S. pals. (@JenniferS , you can be an honorary citizen today, so that you can join in the festivities, too.)

Going to an old (small) graveyard re-dedication this morning (gravestones back to the 1600s). The local government has spruced up the area with newer pathways, new fencing, foliage, and a plaque. Of course, I haven't a clue about who's buried there (I wasn't around in the 1600s ;) ), but I thought it sounded interesting enough to stop by.

From what I read, there's some old veterans' graves as well; and because it's Memorial Day, I figured it was an appropriate tribute, even though I don't know them.

Aside of the above, we've been chowing down all kinds of yummy food for dinner, over the holiday weekend. Went to the local butcher on Saturday and got steak, stuffed green peppers, chicken, twice-baked potatoes, stuffed eggplant, salad, and whoopie pies!! :hungry: :hungry:

I know I'm old, but, my song list includes The Beatles (heavily), Billy Joel, The Eagles, Ray Charles, Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong, The Beach Boys, and many others. However, one of my "Favorite's" CD's has the complete sound track from Impressions de France. Does that count?

I took Holly to the groomer's today. She goes every three months - roughly the beginning of June, September, December, and March.

I've often wondered just how many more haircuts she has left in her, but I can't shake the feeling that this one may be her last.

Boy, oh boy, would I love to be wrong.
