Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

We were watching the current whack the cement wall at the inlet last night. No visible wave, but suddenly there is a burst of water shooting down the wall and splashing onto the sidewalk.
Cool - it's neat to watch it here....from a distance. This was at Narragansett today (not my photo)

I downloaded the new YouTube Music app, and I love it. It also helps that because I downloaded it, they gave me a two-week free trial of YouTube Red, so there are no ads and I can play the music in the background.

I've started a trip report in the Trip Report section.
I'll tag you all once I go live, but for now it's just a break down of my itinerary, which most of you already know.
Can't wait to read all about it!

That is pretty darn amazing. Can't tell if I should worry about the man in yellow, or envy him. Either way, seeing those waves in person would be incredible.

"If any of you folks are wearin' hats or glasses, best remove 'em, 'cause this here is the wildest ride in the WILDERN...where did the track go???"

The news just said this has been our warmest summer since 1871.

This is the hottest summer here in North Carolina since way back in 2011. Back then we had blisters appear on our skin just walking outside. That might have been an exaggeration, but you get the picture. It was some warm, boy! Previous to that 2010 was quite warm as well. In 2011 we had 15 consecutive days with no rain and over 100 - 106 degree F actual temperatures, not heat index.

I remember it because at the time they were putting a new roof on our complex. The roof was covered with those evil, dishonest, lazy Mexican rapists that Mr. Frump hates, all wearing flannel long sleeve shirts and heavy work pants. I know it can get warm in Mexico, but, how they survived is anyone's guess. Especially, three stories up on a black shingled roof. I would have lasted around 4 and a half minutes, tops.

It actually makes a person cooler to wear long-sleeves in the hotter temperatures. The long sleeves make you sweat profusely, and the trapped fluid beneath the clothes helps cool you down somewhat. Those workers wearing flannel long sleeve shirts were probably more comfortable than you or I would be in short sleeves. Who knew?
