If I don't turn the AC on, we're going to be aware of the heat. Heck, we might even fry. Perhaps a grape Popsicle would help.

Recall, if you will, that we had snow pellets a mere 12 days ago.
We have 80s and 70s with storms the next few days. It was terrible yesterday at work. We barely air condition our building and it was truck day, so we got to move heavy things all day. Needless to say it was a pretty sweaty day. But today I get to work in pharmacy for 5 hours, and they have better AC as well as food. I've worked in pharmacy once before and it was one of the best shifts I've ever had. Everyone is so nice back there, including the customers.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Still some work to do on this side of the deck though.

Okay, I picked up the food. What time can we all come over?

The asparagus wasn't ready, but I was:

I didn't prep the asparagus. If I had, I would have trimmed the stalks a bit more. They were very woody.

And yes, that is a Chinette plate. Don't judge me. I thought we would be eating outside. And then the Raptors game started.

Breaking in the new hot tub tonight. I agreed to give it a spin. As you know though, we did not buy it for me.

Hubby is puttering.
The fence and gate are reassembled. The shed still needs to be moved back.

Oh boy! Your very own hot tub! May I stop by? :) (I'll even bring my own towel.)

This is the season for those outdoor tubs, apparently. About 2 streets down from me, there is a hot tub company that has very little activity during the winter months. Now, every morning when I'm walking past there to the bus stop, I see a constant stream of trucks pulling in and out of their lot, transporting those tubs.

(Atta girl . . . pats self on shoulder. :angelic: ) June 19 is Father's Day, and I've already selected two nice, short-sleeved, casual dress shirts from L L Bean, for my father-in-law. He's in his mid-80s and very conservative, so it's a little bit of a challenge ;) to find appropriate gifts. (I've never been this early with a gift selection before. The shirts arrive here this week, so I'll add gift wrap & ribbon, and ship out to him closer to F's Day.)

Since the above is boring news to everyone but me, I have added a photo of cute bear cubs (compliments of Mr. Google) below as a consolation prize for all of you! :D
