Where in the (Disney) World is this?

I'm just preparing some old photos for my upcoming trip so I can either re-create or do a "Dear Photograph" style photo while I'm there.

Can anyone confirm where this photo was taken? It was in 1976, I'm the kid in the red jacket sitting between my older sister and my grandmother, my uncle didn't quite make the shot I'm thinking maybe the Tiki room but I have skipped it in the last 30 years because I never liked it so I'm not sure.



Also this photo which is Sea World (not Disney I know but figured since I have your attention maybe you can help.) Is that fountain still there and where do I find it? Main entrance? I'm just not sure.


I will be at Sea World for a special night time event so I'm hoping to scurry over during my tour, snap a quick photo and continue onto the event. I know the park fairly well but not like I know Disney so if you can give me an idea of what it's close to that would be great.

IDK about the Disney pic, but that fountain is NOT is Seaworld anymore

I believe the first pic looks like Crystal Palace entrance vestibule. Although the seats are no longer upholstered but the background and the railings behind the seats look a lot like CP....but someone else back me up on this as I am not 100% on it.

That was my first thought as well, but I don't believe that the CP has ever had red upholstery or gold details like that.

I visited Tiki room in WDW in 1976 and I do not recall any seating like that in your picture. I think copcarguy71 is more than likely correct. Pic does seem like some kind of lobby/holding area from seats and standing patrons in background. Although my memory for events almost 40 years ago isn't precise.

If you notice in the background, there's a Victorian style column and polished floors. So I'm thinking Main St. area...was there any seating like that in The Emporium...maybe the Penny Arcade?

Could it be the waiting area outside Tony's Restaurant? I know they used to have a seat like this that was red upholstered, but I don't know about the plants in the middle. Not sure if Tony's was even there in the 70's.

The red upholstery I'm pretty sure it's at Tony' Italian place named after the Lady and the Tramp Italian restaurant.
I'm pretty sure that's it. We ate there last year.

I was thinking Tony's too. That bench was still there within the last few years I believe. Minus the flowers

Oh Tonys could be it. Seems right that we ate there for this trip and its been 11-12 years since I was in there so no wonder it didn't click.

I'll check that out - probably doesn't look the same at all but could still be a neat photo.

I have no idea where, but I just wanted to say that I always get a giggle out of 70's photos... I wouldn't be surprised if my brother had a hulk shirt just like the one in your photo. I can say that cause I'm from the 70's too.

And, what a lucky kid you were go to Disney back then! My first time was in 2006!

I love the shirts we wore then too. In that photo it's my uncle with the Hulk shirt, I have a Pooh and Tigger shirt (how fitting is that!) and I had to find another photo from the same day to see that my sister is wearing a Shaun Cassidy shirt! We were big fans of The Hardy Boys

OMG! I had a Hardy Boys lunch box, the metal kind, and when I was 7, I wanted to marry Shaun! LOL
