I would be in the Harmony Barber Shop on Main St in the MK, watching my Grandson get his first haircut. The Daper Dan's are right out side the door singing four part harmony.

Whenever I'm having a bad day, I go to my "Happy Place". Sitting in World Showplace with my (then) 2 year old son watching the Tapestry of Dreams parade and looking at the performers dressed as "fa-flies" (butterflies). My wife can usually tell when I'm there. She'll say something like "watching the parade again?".

This week is particularly hard on the family as we were down there last year during this week (our Spring Break up here). So since last Friday (the day a year ago which we actually would have started the long drive down), we will catch ourselves saying something like, "Last year at this exact moment, we would have been at Magic Kingdom enjoying a Dole Whip float while watching Wishes".

Of course we wish we were down there right at this moment, heck, every moment!!! But at least we all can share a story or look at pictures of the fun times we had on the previous trips and look forward to make more memories on future trips, even if they are at least a couple of years away!

I know what you mean! People don't always understand why we go back every year, but it's because it's our happy place and it's on my mind all the time! I slip into this depression on the last day of the trip and it usually last until into a week or so later. I then just try to surround myself with Disney (AKA '05/'06 planning video, travel channel WDW dvds, Samantha Brown Disney Hotels etc) and start planning on my next trip! :wave:

I am sitting in my log, with just my sweetie, and no one else. It's night, and we are threading our way through the briars near the beginning of Splash, hearing the banjo music version of "howdaya Do" and looking at the little birdhouses and signs.

When I think about what makes me happiest about being in Disney, this exact place is always first in my mind.

It's my Laughin' Place. For sure.

So, right now I'm stopping into Casey's for a hot dog and some fries. I'll sit on the curb, eat, and watch the parade with the Castle in the background.

I love going to China and watching Reflections of China. That movie is relaxing and you how beautiful China is. Not to mention it is middle of summer and is great for cooling off.

It's late in the evening, just starting to cool down and we get on the boat at POR heading to Downtown Disney. Looking at the people enjoying their evening in the tree house villas thinking about getting an orange slush and mickey head rice krispie treat at Goofy's Candy Store an sitting outside on the bench just people watching.

I am in the Belle Vue lounge at The Boardwalk Inn during the afternoon - when they are actually closed - sitting on one of the couches enjoying the quiet.

Hi Everyone!

My wife and I ask each other where in Disney are you right now all the time. This usually comes up when we are driving in the car, sitting down to eat, or when one of us looks deep in thought. Sometimes we use this to diffuse a situation when we are really stressed out and it helps to get our minds in a happier place. Right now I am picturing I am at Hollywood Studios, it's roughly around noon, and I just finished hitting both Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller coaster. I am now making my way on over to Pizza Planet to sit down with some veggie pizza and a mickey rice crispy:slurp: Oh and can't forget the chocolate Nesquick!

So I extend out to all you WDW fanatics, where in Disney World are you. (Note that you can chose something at different times of day or whatever fits your mindset at the moment. Have fun and certainly add creativity)

I like this. We don't do this at home but we do have Disney conversations at home. After I have read something interesting in this forum, I discuss it with the DW, DD, and DS at dinner time. Then of course that springs more Disney topics of discussion. I really like this idea, and I think I will start something like this at home. THANKS! :wave:

I love the responses to this thread. It takes me to such a happy place reading where everyone would be at the moment. Everyone has something different from people watching, special benches, listening to the sounds, foods, favorite rides. It's all great!!!

Where am I now? Right now we are staying at the Beach Club and it's around dusk. We are walking to Epcot to spend the rest of the night and enjoy extra magic hours. We are making our way over to Japan and I plan to have my wife pick out a clam to get a pearl. Hopefully a blue one again!!

I am in front of the castle in the middle of Wishes standing hand and hand with my fiance. (It is relativley cool out ) And, after Wishes we are going back to The Contempoary Resort to have a sweet snack and walk around the hotel

Either sitting on a bench on Sunset Boulevard when the sun's going down and all the lights are coming on..or in Tomrrowland or Frontierland at nighttime..or behind Spaceship Earth any time of the day! So many places I'd love to be in WDW right now..
