Have been thinking about this since following another thread...
where is everyone from? I'll start:

New York, Orange County located in the Mid Hudson Valley (about 40 miles north of NYC). It's home to West Point, also the last encampment of the Continental Army, Washington's Headquarters...where he signed the peace declaration ending the Revolutionary War. We also have the Hall of Fame of the Trotter (harness racing), revolutionary era iron furnaces and is home to one of the largest factory outlets- Woodbury Commons- a sister to the Chelsea/Premium outlet complex in Orlando.

Where are you from?

I'm 1972.37 km away from WDW. I live in Welland, ON, Canada - which is about 15 minutes away from Niagara Falls. B'sides the Falls, we have the famous Welland Canal running through the city, and Niagara-on-the-Lake is about 20 minutes away. It really is a beautiful place to live, and I need to remind myself not to take advantage of it!

Haven't been to the Fall since I was a kid and it was damed (sp?)
off to clean up all the dangerous falling rocks.

I live in Worcester, MA. The home and birthplace of Robert Goddard, "The Father of Modern Rocketry." Any of you who watch Jimmy Neutron now know why his dog's name is Goddard.
I even went to the same college as him...WPI. Sorry to ramble but there isn't very many good things about this aweful city. But I will soon be moving back to Connecticut.

I live in the subburbs of Birmingham, Alabama. Countney , Ruben, and Olympic Gold Medalist Vonetta Flowers (who was my next door neighbor at the time) are from here. There are other people, I just can't think of them right now. lol We also are home of the UAB Medical Center where a lot of medical advances are made.

Im from Westchester County, NY. Home of the Buick Classic at the Westchester Country Club...and not much else, other than a VERY high cost of living! Hmm...lets see...we are the suburbs of NYC. Im about a 40 minutes north of the city by train. Herman Tarnouer (sp), the Scarsdale Diet doctor, was murdered in my little town, and we recently made some national headlines with regard to underage teen drinking and fighting that resulted in a tragic death.

We have one Kmart, no WalMart, and the only Target is being built.

Oh, and Joe Torre, the Yankee manager, lives down the street.

Tigsmom, I looove Woodbury!! Coach, Versace, Armani.... :D

My hubby worked in the ER (Supervisor at one point) in Lawrence Hosp in Bronxville...we end up in Westchester often.

ps: most locals avoid WC. I used to work in Bear Mtn. Books in the food court. Had to work Black Friday: Took 7 hours to get out of the parking lot and another 1/2 hr to get home! (a 10 minute trip on a normal day)
