It's just a supply chain issue and they'll be back.
(I really have no idea but hopefully you'll feel better about it).

There were some issues as BeaverTails are a trademarked business and apparently Disney forgot about this, not likely they will ever return.

I believe that Beaver Tails went directly on the rear end of Beavers and still do.

Rather heavy-handed with the trademark, though that may be a Canadian thing. The laws differ in the United States, and it is very common for a business to lose value of their trademark as the name becomes synonymous with a product or service. Some companies even encourage it. Those are not beaver tails. They are cookies that did not pass quality control.

Those are just puff pastry that are called elephant ears in some places. The Canadian beaver tails are a fried dough. The ones in the picture are baked.
