Where can we see price breakdown of booked pckgs?

Once you've booked a package, is there anywhere you can view the cost of the components (resort, airfare, tickets, dp if any, insurance, etc.)? I know they send those letters, but I'm not sure they show the price breakdown. And I don't see it in my account in the reservation details (which is pretty bizarre these days to not show that info, any other travel site does). Also, it seems to me when I ask a Disney agent, say, the cost of the room (that I've already booked) she isn't really able to tell. But hopefully I'm missing something.

I'm not 100% sure on packages, but I know that in the confirmation email for room only bookings there should be a link that takes you to a detailed breakdown of your per night charges. However, keep in mind that a package has no price discounting over buying the portions separately, with the exception of a publicized deal like free dining. So you can get the room prices simply by quoting a new trip on the website, get ticket prices from here -> http://www.wdwmagic.com/other/magic-your-way-ticket.htm, prices on the different dining plans here -> http://allears.net/pl/packages.htm, etc. Not ideal, but it just reinforces that you don't save anything on the parts by buying the package, you just get whatever freebies they toss in, like an arcade voucher, etc.

We've never been able to get a CM to give us the cost breakdown when booking a package. Not sure why they're so secretive, but they don't generally give you that info in my experience. We typically book room only and buy tickets elsewhere, but our last trip we were given a better overall price by booking a MYW package. My wife tried to get the CM to tell her the breakdown of costs, but they wouldn't do it.

No. The CMs can't see it and neither can you. I am going off an old memory which might be wrong, but I am thinking the the reason was due to the perks like the free golf, arcade credit, etc. For tax and legal purposes those have to be shown having some value in an itemized breakdown and people would flip out about them and want them removed. Again, this is me trying to remember a 12 year old conversation, so I might be off.

It is not that hard to break it out yourself. Just get the package price, subtract the room only rate, ticket price and dining. You will typically come in a buck or two over or short when you add all three together.

Go on the site and start by booking a room only. You'll have the price of the room, then it will give you a cost for adding MYW tickets and then the dining plan. You should get a good idea that way. We only book a room as Florida residents and then get our AP. That's the only thing I can think of.
