I'm in a Disney discord server, and users will come on and show off all their collectibles, some of which are INSANELY, nay, IMPOSSIBLY hard to get. Most of which aren't even available for purchase, with the most recent being old coral props from 20,000 Leagues.
As somewhat of a Disney Parks collector myself (I have a Skippy plush, Figment plush, Mickey plush, and the ExtraTERRORestrial action figure which I was lucky enough to get for 50 bucks off eBay), I'm curious exactly how they obtain these items. Most of them say when asked that they have "connections" or like, a friend that's a Cast Member, but there has to be some other way to buy these props and parts of attractions from the parks or phased-out merchandise without having a CM for a roommate. I'm not currently looking to expand my collection right now but some information would be helpful. Thanks to anyone who can help.
