when you can make fast pass selections?

Hi everyone,

How far out can you make your fast pass selections? I see where I can click on it, but then it says that I am not in the window of dates allowed. But the dates it is showing is this week in November. I am not sure if there is a website issue or if its defaulting to that because I am not able to make them yet. Also, does anyone know if the fast pass for Be Our Guest lunch is something that can be chosen or is it by invite only?

We are 95 days away! :)

You may want to peruse some of the other threads posted on this topic for additional detail but the short answer is it depends on when you're going. Right now testing is open to all resorts but only through January 5th arrivals I believe. If you're arriving after that, then it's not open yet and there's no word on if testing will be extended or if it'll go live after that date.

Beyond that, 60-days seems to be the "norm" except in situations where the testing didn't open 60-days in advance (my situation - arriving 12/2 but testing didn't open for me until mid-October). Most have reported needing to be checked in online for it to allow it as well though some have not had to do that step. Others (myself included) had to redo their online check-in if it was done before the testing window expanded.

I was able to about 2 or 3 weeks ago and our trip starts Jan 1st. This past week I received a large letter envelope from Disney inviting us to sign up for all of My Magic (even though I already had).
One thing I don't like about making fastpass reservations is some of the times but I found if I liked most of the times I would go ahead and choose it. Then I could go back and individually change each time if I wanted to. Have a great trip!

For Fastpass I think it's currently at 30 days out. I was able to customize my magic bands at 45 days out. Out trip is in February.

It's been a long day!! :banghead:

For FP+ it's 60 days out. I was able to customize the magic bands at 75 days out. Our trip is still in Febrauary.

Thanks! I was able to customize the magic bands already but they say I can change them if I want until mid Jan.

Unrelated to fastpasses but to the my Disney experience. ... I tried paying online today and can't find any info or way to do on the website. So i called and a cast member told me that I should and I'm not finding it. First rude cast member in awhile. She said that when I find it "under my disney vacation" ( which I never found) I can only make two online payments. Thats all the system will allow. Then she told me that I must be in the "experimental" webpage and to log out and log in. I did and of course nothing changed. i had no idea what she was talking about.

I take it that means your trip is after January 5th? If so, are you already checked in online? I ask because my experience was opposite yours in that I could do my FP+ selections but not my bands. Once I redid my online check-in I was able to however. I mention this only because if you're checked in and have bands you may want to give it a shot. Still, last I saw testing for FP+ beyond 1/5 wasn't open yet so probably won't work for you but hey worth a shot! LOL

My situation differs here as well in that we put down our deposit and then a few weeks later paid it off completely so it was only one online payment but I can tell you that's the first I've heard of not being able to make multiple payments. It's usually under "My Disney Experience" (which I bet is what she meant) and then you go into your reservations. Once there it shows you the amount remaining due and gives a link to submit a payment.

Thanks for that info. I have looked and looked and it is not under reservations. It is so bizarre. I waited on hold for tech support for 15 mins and had to leave for work. I might try calling about it again later but if I can only make 2 payments online - then why bother. I have always made multiple payments. I never have heard this before either. I feel like she didn't know what she was talking about it and she was getting annoyed with me correcting her and telling her it wasn't there.

Yes, my trip is after Jan 5th. I am not checked in online yet. Don't you need to be paid off to check in? If so, that won't be until Christmas Bonus' come out. Nothing like waiting to the last minute! :)
