When would you go in 2014?

When would you go in 2014? Due to school schedules we have limited time when we can go to WDW. I really want to go back before my children get much older and don't want to go during the crazy hot summer.

Option 1 - Thursday January 16 - Tuesday January 21 (long MLK weekend)
Option 2 - Friday March 28 - Sunday April 6 (pick 5 days least crowded over Spring Break week)
Option 3 - Thursday April 17 - Monday April 21 (long Easter weekend)

We don't really care about waterparks/pools. I am leaning towards the January dates. I think it would be the least crowded and the best rates. I think Spring Break would be a big mistake. Easter is very late this year and a bit of a wild card.

Suggestions???

I would go with option #1

I just checked out touringplans.com and yourfirstvisit.net for your dates. (kids just went to bed, I'm bored, lol) It looks like option 1 is far better than 3 and when you factor in pricing is much better than 2. Plus since pools and water parks aren't a big deal for you I would choose January. I myself am planning a trip just two weeks after that. If you do choose January hurry up and make those ADR's.

Hope you have a great time whenever you decide to go. :)

Thanks so much for the opinions! Fingers crossed there might be a discount/promotion for these days!
I think you have a good chance of a January discount. But if you can book now and add the discount when it comes out to secure the room, that's what I did.

Easter and Spring Break are cuh-razy! You can still see everything, but you have to be a bit of a commando about it. Option #1 will be slightly less crowded and give you more "wiggle room" in your itinerary.

Option #1
My family is going January 18th - January 25th for the same reason. They have off Monday and Tuesday so will only miss 3 days of school. The weather is nicer and crowds aren't as bad as spring break!

Hmmm... those dates are tough for me, because those are times I don't usually go...crowd-wise, your best bet is definitely option 1. But, that's the worst option weather-wise. Weather-wise, your best bet is Easter weekend, but that's your worst option crowd-wise. If it were, me I'd probably choose option 2, because the weather would be pretty decent and the crowds would be at a medium-level (if you choose wisely). There's just something about going to Disney when it's cold that puts me off a little bit. Obviously if it was the only time I could go, I'd be happy to go. But, if I had a choice to go when the weather was nicer, I'd choose nicer weather. Good luck with planning!

Summer...always in summer. Yeah, it's hot but that's why we hang out at the pool midday. I just don't like pulling my older kids out of school. Easter planning is hard for us because of snow make up days.

Luv, I thought any of the spring break weeks were crazy crowded?
Lol, you asked when I would go, not which might be the most crowded. I'm no Len Testa, but I'll guess that MLK will be busy...perhaps not as busy as Spring Break or Easter, though.

I chose option 2 because...

1. January can be cold. I don't like to be outside when it's really cold. And no Flower & Garden. So that's out.

2. Flower & Garden is one of my two favorite things at WDW. I don't like to miss Flower and Garden.
3. Easter is busier thank Spring Break, so back to #2.

But you should go when you wnt to go. All dates are good dates for a vacation!!!

We went a number of years ago (before children) for 2 weeks in January. It was not HOT however warm enough for us to do discovery cove! We would not have spent the day in a waterpark though!!!! However we are from Britain and don't get HOT full seasons do we are not used to weather too warm;) it was amazing for crowd levels. I had been numerous times with my family as a child at Easter and I can tell you I would never go again at that time. We waited 10 mins max in the jan for things like RNR, TOT etc etc. You will have a great time whenever you go x

I was leaning towards option one but someone pointed out the Flower & Garden festival for option 2 so I might go with that. I would avoid Easter, from what I've heard it is super crowded.
