When walking to/from the BC/YC to EPCOT do you usually go up or down?

I'm sure most of us know this, but there's two ways to get to International Gateway from the Beach Club (this doesn't work if you're staying at Boardwalk). You can either go up the walkway to where the bridge over the water is to the Boardwalk or you can walk down a little directly by next to the canal walking under the bridge to the Boardwalk. I've noticed that 90% of the time that we walk from YC/BC to or from EPCOT, people go up, where 90% of the time we go down. I figure this is mostly because the signs don't tell people you can walk next to the water and still get where you're going, so I'm curious, do most people here go up or down?

Down for the walk along the river. And because no one else is usually there.

LOL...coming or going, we stop, look at each other and ask "high road or low road ? " I'd say its about 25% "low road" going to IG and 75% "low road" going back to BCV.

I'd stayed on the BW at least 15 times in the last 5 years and just recently tried the low road in February for the first time. I'm sticking with the high road, because im a creature of habit, but I felt like i'd made a huge life discovery when I journeyed downward.

I never knew you could go down (so tempted to insert crass wife joke here), so this is fascinating to me. I almost want to go over there tonight just to check it out. I've always been an up person for obvious reasons, but I would much prefer the down route.

Subconsciously I guess I rationalize that when walking to - the path under the bridge is quicker, and on the way out - over the bridge is quicker. Go figure.

We go UP to get to EPCOT because we're full of energy.We go DOWN on the way back to our resort because we're out of energy.
