When to Visit in April for lowest Crowds?

Hi,
Am currently just about to book a trip in April and trying to fit around 5 days at WDW in. The original plan was to fly to Orlando on April 1st and go to the parks pretty much straight away. But Easter in 2015 is on the 4th so I think this is not such a good idea. How quickly to crowds die off after Easter. The alternative would be to visit the parks starting from around the 14th or 15th of April.

AVOID the beginning of April at all costs...Easter week crowds are horrible...waiting until closer to the end of the month will also help avoid those who have later spring breaks.

Lowest crowds in the park in April are between 2am and 6am.

April is a tricky month. You have Easter which is going to be terrible. Easter week crowds are considered holiday crowds. Check the calendar and mark that off. If some schools have a late spring break you might experience some crowds at that time too. Towards the end of the month you start having schools in Florida taking class trips to Disney. Those are just on a weekend and usually to MK so keep that in mind too.

Right okay, thanks everyone for your help. Basically my only choices are visiting over Easter or a about 1.5/2 weeks later so the latter option definitely seems best.

I did research on this as well and decided on the last week in April and first week in May, we arrive 4/26.

I would go with the later date. I don't know about the rest of the country, but our spring breaks are almost always the week before or the week after Easter. A lot of states have mandated testing windows in late April or early May so a lot of school systems try to get spring break over with on the first half of the month.

British schools are out the week before and the week after the Easter weekend. That said, we've visited WDW over Easter at least three times (the wife's a teacher so we have to go at busy times).
With enough careful planning you can still have a blast at busy times and it does have advantages over quieter times - longer park hours, more EMH days, evening parades and fireworks often repeated daily.

Beginning of April will be really bad this year. Spring break and Easter crowds! Go the 3rd or 4th week of April if u can! Crowds should be very good then!

End of April - you will miss both Spring break and Easter visitors. And the weather is nice.

Think the dates are set now, will arrive in Orlando on the 12th and leave on the 20th. That's the absolute latest in the month I can go but it sounds like the crowds won't be too bad. Thanks for your help everyone!
