When to Go!

Hi!

I am a WDW fanatic that lives in SC. :sohappy: I jump at any chance to go down to FL to the Kingdom.

My DW has a conference in Orlando the last week in June this year. We have a 13 month old son.

Question

Should I jump on this opportunity and bring my son down there with my DW and after her conf, we do a quick 3 day trip to WDW?

or

Wait till the first week of 12/2004 for a same 3 day quick trip?

Things to consider:

a) crowd levels
b) heat
c) carrying the baby

I hate to say this but I am leaning towards letting my DW attend the conf by herself and then wait till December for the 3 of us to go.

What do you guys/gals think? What should I do? :brick:

Thanks!

hmmm... tough one. how about both? :sohappy:

Actually, I would probably pick December. Been there the last two years in Dec and love it! Can't beat the Christmas magic at WDW.

Plus, the baby will be much more comfortable since it won't be as hot. We're dying to go back, but we have an 8 week old and will probably wait until next spring or Dec 2005. We really want to go this year, but just not sure since the baby will be so young.

. do both....do both........

but honestly if you have to choose between the two........ december. right now (in may) we already are reaching 96 degrees, so it probably will be a really hot summer:( . so it will most likely be in the high 90s or 100s.while in december it will be in the 70s which is great. plus crowds will probably be smaller.

Without a doubt, go the first week of Dec!! The temperature will be much more manageable for your baby (and you), plus the crowds will be almost nonexistent in early Dec, making it soooo much easier to push a stroller. I've been to WDW during the first 2 weeks of Dec several times and it is my favorite time of year to go. The weather is good, not cold, and not hot. One year, it was so warm we swam in our (slightly heated) resort pool :sohappy:

I realize the temptation to go in June is great. A day a Disney is better than a day anywhere else, but you'll be glad you waited until Dec, unless you can go both times?

December is definitely better.

And I'll be at the conference your DW will be at, too! I live within driving distance, though, so I don't have the same "Do I go to Disney or not?" dilemma.

Definitely December! I've been to WDW at just about every time of year and in my opinion, the December weekend you've mentioned is the single best time of year to go.

December. In just those 6 months the baby is going to be some much more aware of what is happening around you. They will enjoy it more and maybe actually remember some of it by then too!
