When to book flights & hotel

We are staying on resort in Oct. Right now there's no deals on stays during that time and the flights are not able to be reserved that far out. I want to make sure we get the resort we want for the dates we want but seems a little backwards to me to book that before flights. Thoughts?

Say HYPOTHETICALLY one wanted to book a WDW trip for this September... when would one book? Should they suck it up and just do it now, or should they wait until March around the 180 day mark?

Don't know where you're flying from, but Southwest fares for your date open 2/18/16. If you can fly Southwest that's the morning to book the lowest fares.

I'm planning on going the end of Oct and returning the beginning of Nov. Not sure what airline you want to fly but I've been able to price flights from Seattle on Alaska, Delta, and American. Not that I am booking anything at the moment...hoping that flights drop a little over the next couple months. But we don't want to wait too long because there aren't too many non-stop flights that leave from the west coast in the evening, which is when we want to go, but I digress.
