.....what happens? Are you just SOL for that night? We're planning our ADRs and will be using the dining plan and don't want to get screwed out of a sit-down meal. Is it better not to plan to eat there in February when cold weather is a great possibility?

We were there last Feb. also and the weather was the best we've experienced in February, but 2 or 3 years ago we went the at the same time and never took our shorts out of the suitcase. We even wore our winter jackets several days so I know how the weather can be unpredictable. My main concern was not being able to get a replacement sit-down meal if we were cancelled at Aloha. Thinking I'll go with Plan B and not take the chance.

Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is an all-you-care-to-eat, family-style luau featuring hula dancing and fire knife dancers at Disney's Polynesian Resort .

Situated on the Seven Seas Lagoon, the open-air covered dining theater provides a comfortable setting for authentic music and dances, with beautiful costumes, irresistable rhythms and the show-stopping fire-knife dance! The many nations of the South Pacific unite in an evening of spellbinding magic that tells the tale of a native girl returning to her people and her traditions.

You'll almost believe you've been transplanted to the tropics as you and your loved ones share platters of authentic foods such as barbequed pork ribs, roast chicken, fresh pineapple, salad with mango poppy seed dressing garnished with Mandarin oranges, Polynesian-style rice and seasonal vegetable. Save room for the chocolate mouse volcano! (Parents of finicky little ones, fear not: There's a limited children's menu). Beer, wine and soft drinks are included for Guests 21 years of age or older (picture ID required).

Fall under the enchantment of the spirit of aloha!

What sort of advanced notice on the calcellation do they give, if any?

Do they tell you when you walk up, or do they have a go/no-go time, and then you can call.

Just thinking that if you can call before you get there, then it's a lot easier to reschedule the meal somewhere else.

I've heard that sometimes it's raining too much for the show to go on but not to cancel the dinner (since guests are sitting at covered tables). In those cases guests pay less than full price for missing the show, and DDPers get one credit back from the two that would normally be charged. But getting that credit back may require standing in a long line, or making time-consuming phone calls later on if you're not willing to wait in line.

Fortunately when we went in late August the weather was perfect for it. Not too hot or humid.
