When its all booked, but room has issues

I think that some would rather move to a regular resort room over completely changing resorts, and that would be their choice. For us, if we are at BWV and they have to move us to SSR or OKW to stay in a similar room (only assuming a 1 bedroom or higher - not a studio), we would definitely move. Now since the points are usually lower at both of those resorts, we would expect a refund of the points difference. If it is just the 2 of us in a studio, then a regular resort room would work for us - as long as it is still in a deluxe resort.
But in the cases I was talking about they wanted a 1-bed for cooking and separation of sleeping arrangements. So they absolutely did not want a regular room.

But they were told they had the same number of beds, so there was no negotiation. No upgrade to Riviera, for example. And there was no refund of points since they considered the room an equitable swap. They tried appealing that but Member Services and Guest Satisfaction refused to budge.

I would have been livid.

And yet other people have separately reported they did get a choice of a 1-bed elsewhere, eg from BLT to either CCV or AKV. Or even moved to a 2-bed at SSR.

We would be livid as well.
