Our little family is just starting to think about taking our next trip to WDW!!! We will go at some point in 2015 before my boy turns three. We are 2 adults and (will be) 4 1/2 - 5 year old daughter and under three year old son. Since the kiddies aren't in school yet, we can go at any time.

We went last September, and while it was slow-ish, boy was it hot.

When is your favorite time to visit the world and why???
Until we had to contend with school we always went mid-October….LOVED IT

Because I have a child in elementary school, my favorite time is at the end of May.
We've only done it once (his first time), two years ago but I have been to WDW in July (with a Brazilian tour group), in December and in February.
with a kid in school, the options are the summer, Spring Break (late March/early April in GA), Thanksgiving week and Christmas Break.

Late May was AWESOME! We didn't get a lot of long lines, it was warm enough to enjoy the pool and the water parks but not too hot, we got to do 90% of what we wanted and we even had a chance to come back to the hotel, relax and go back out.
We got there on a Sunday and started hitting the parks on Memorial Day.

Next year we will either go Thanksgiving Week due to how close it is to my son's birthday or late May again.

I am so glad to hear that end of May/Memorial Day is a good time to go. Thanks! We will be there the last week of May in 2015. We were debating on whether to go to any parks Memorial weekend or wait until Tuesday to hit the parks.

We went to WDW over Christmas in 2009 and had a great time.

But it October crazy with the Food and WIne Festival? We probably wouldn't utilized it with the kiddies
We had a great time with the kids. We could grab a drink or a snack and relax while they played at the kidcot stations. It's a chance to try new foods at the carts without going to a restaurant with kids. To me it was a super relaxing time to go because F&W runs for so long it's never seemed busy

I like always liked going after Thanksgiving. The crowds are heavy, but I love when I see all the Christmas decorations for the first time. It really gets me into the spirit.

I have to agree with lunchbox1175 we usually go either in early May or the week before Halloween and the crowds are generally small and the weather is perfect!!!! We have gone down in November for thanksgiving (about 4 times)and it is a little busier but the parks are all done up for for the holidays and that alone to see is spectacular!!!!!

We have been going with our three kids to the Wine & Food festival since each was 6 months old. They are 5, 3 and one years old right now. We usually get the kids lunch somewhere like Electric Umbrella and then we go around the world, eating & drinking our way around. We do the meal plan and we save our snacks and use them to get the food. Makes for a great lunch, we even have done it for dinner.

I enjoy the middle or end of March. Great weather, spring training at Wide World of Sports, and it's still cold here in PA when we head down to beautiful 70 degree Orlando.

Haha, I know it's ridiculously selfish but I want to really avoid "groups." When are the most popular times for the groups to visit?

I'm so torn...I love the Halloween and Christmas décor, and I love the parks when they're totally dead, but I actually really enjoy summer. Some of my fondest WDW memories are from July and August trips. I have this major positive nostalgic wave come over me whenever we do a summer weather trip...I guess it also helps that I'm pretty comfortable in hot weather...although, I think going at a time when a swim is really inviting/refreshing also enhances that vacay feel.
