When is the free dining promotion usually offered?

I though I recalled that free dining was usually offered for vacation dates around Sept - Oct. I am looking to spend a few days at WDW in Oct during the food and wine festival and it would be great to have this promotion. Is it not guaranteed that they offer this every year?

It's never guaranteed.

They've announced the offer in April when they've offered it. Usually open to Disney Visa cardholders first, then the general public.

Free dining for dates through the end of September was offered in 2010. They had to be booked by December 20, 2010.

There is a possibility additional free dining will be offered for sometime during the last 3 months of 2011.....but you never know.
