My daughter's birthday is January 3rd. Our trip was in June. We celebrated. We couldn't go in Jan. I even asked the CM when I called to make sure it was ok to celebrate it then. The trip was planned for her 16th birthday so I felt it was ok and the CM was very excited and said of course she can. And they even had a balloon, and picture from Mickey for her birthday. :D

A sweet sixteen birthday in Disney, that sounds like a dream!

It was. She had the choice of a car or a trip to Disney. She picked the trip. That surprised us a lot. But she said she wanted something that we could all enjoy. She picked Boma for her special birthday dinner. Great place. We would eat there again. This trip had a lot of problems (non of them Disney's fault) but we are still glad we went.

id so go for it! I would love to take one of my daughter's to Disney for their bday. but the rest of the siblings wouldn't take it too kindly and feel cheated LOL!

Wow! That is really surprising, I admire her benevolence. I'm not sure if I would have been able to pass up a car though. Sorry to hear about the problems, but I'm glad that you're glad you went ;)

Last December we were watching the MVMCP with a little girl who was celebrating her birthday, complete with birthday pin and a cute tiara. She was a leap year baby, so her parents figured that since there wouldn't be a February 29 the next year that she could have her birthday then.

I meant to reply yesterday...the answer is NEVER :D Never too early and Never too late. That being said, it feels a bit less awkward if it's closer to the event being celebrated...but for me...that's still a 2-3 month window of comfort. The reality, we all have things we'd like to celebrate...but we can't always celebrate them right on that day. So, we make the best of it and celebrate when we can.

Unfortunately sometimes work, school, vacation senority, etc won't always allow you to take a WDW vacation when it's your actual Birthday, Anniversary etc. So when my wife and I go, we call it our "Anniversary and/or Birthday trip." You're still celebrating the occasion, just when time allows it.

She is a good kid. But she also got to bring a friend with her whom we paid for. And unfortunately, this is where most of the problems stemmed from. Never again will we bring another person with us, unless they get their own room. Shhhhh don't tell her, but chances are she's getting the car anyway for graduation.:joyfull:

<<<<<DIT DIT DIT DIT>>>>> This just in from CNN.....

In what some are calling "the most coincidental occurrence ever" Disney today announced that everyone that is at WDW today was born on the same exact day. A small girl was very upset as she had looked forward to this day for 2 years as she figured she would get to light the parade, as she had heard and seen on youtube. But that privilege was giving to a 45 year old man of the name (removed to protect the elderly), who commented about what a pretty princess he was. Also in the news it rained in Florida today....

Thanks for tuning in, now back to your normal scheduled forum.

My birthday is September 8th, we're going September 17th. That's 9 days after and it never even crossed my mind to mention my birthday.

When is it too early to celebrate a birthday at WDW? My daughter will be turning 5 Jan 2. Our trip is planned for Dec 4 th. is it really stretching it if we celebrate her birthday a month early?
It's never to early to celebrate a child's b-day! We celebrated our DD4 b-day on our trip to the World a month early last September. Debating what to celebrate on our next trip in December!?

When I went last March, I celebrated my birthday which is not until April. I think you will be fine since her birthday is close. Let her enjoy it!
