When is it fair to report on the upkeep of New Fantasyland?

Maybe wait until you see FLE for yourself and don't begrudge those who have MBAs or whatever.... Also, we don't know what went down on the wardrobe and there is no reason to be bent out of shape. Jeez... your posts are becoming tiresome, think it's time I invoked the ignore function...

You're not alone...

The "I'm writing a letter" threat is silly in and of itself, and then to write it on an AA that you've never seen and you're not sure the reason as to why it went down is ludicrous to a point that my feeble brain can't even comprehend. And then blaming MBAs.... I'd like to know which degrees, if any, she has before she goes knocking on those that have them. Posts like hers (but not exclusively hers) is what makes me hate this forum on a daily basis.

What really got me laughing was the I'm keeping a spreadsheet to track the problems LOL.

I sure hope the expansion isn't falling apart already! While I don't think these bugs are as dire as some people think, I'm not sure i would even notice them if it was my first time seeing the attraction. Maybe I'll just focus on enjoying the attraction rather than nitpicking! Lol

It's not. Some members here like to say any mechanical failure as a sign WDW is falling into a Mad Max-eque landscape of disrepair. Yes, there are some attractions that need work...but the wardrobe not working, is as others have pointed out, sounds like an unexpected problem that cropped us, as is to be expected with advanced machinery

Be fair and give a restaurant a chance to rectify whatever problem you feel you had...instead of just going around telling people you ate "crap" (but not noting whether or not you told the restaurant about it).

Do you see how this contradicts exactly what you're trying to identify as appropriate in the very title of this thread? You probably don't so I'll explain:

If you haven't had a problem, don't complain. If you think there will be a problem, don't go.

I'm pretty sure Disney will be just fine and fix the problem regardless of whether or not you send them what I'm sure would be a friendly yet stern reprimand.

If you go and have an issue, complain until you receive satisfaction. Oh, keep your pants on.

It appears that you'll have more luck trying to reason/talk/negotiate with a squirrel than her.

Yesterday she said that she will say prayers for me and that The Lord might be able to straighten me out, or something to that affect (Like writing a letter to Disney about busted things she hasn't seen). She asked why I was rude and I told her that The Lord told me to be that way to even the score that she dishes out. Oh yeah, then she said I was a stalker and that I'm clearly uneducated as I consistently don't include an apostrophe when typing "you're." ...yeah this ones a peach.

I may have to ignore soon, but it's fun to poke.

Negativity is AWESOME!

Gotta love how people are literally *looking* for something wrong rather than enjoying the fact that something *decent* finally got built!

Perhaps unintentionally but your post is rather ironic. You complain about others not being satisfied by the New Fantasyland and then give WDW a backhanded compliment by writing "something *decent* finally got built". Effectively, you're complaining that WDW doesn't build enough but that we shouldn't complain that what they built isn't good enough. Interesting.
Awesome! Now I understand the man-love Spirit and who-was-it-again show you!

Disclosure: I'm not an insider and have never driven a bus at WDW.

I have read in several places that WDI gives the park a "warranty" period on new attractions when they perform all or most maintenance functions. If memory serves, it is 1 year and then it is the park's baby. If that is the case, then WDI is dropping the ball on the listed issues in New Fantasyland, not TDO. No, I can't believe that I just sort of defended TDO. I would give them until late 2013 to really screw things up and start installing strobe lights on the waterfalls!
I guess I don't understand the "warranty" period granted by WDI..aren't they the same company as TDO, just different divisions wthin the company? How can WDI just walk away from an atrraction after a year and say "not my problem"? That to me is like saying that the engineers at a car company build and design a new car, but whn flaws are discovered a year later, they walk away and say, opps, not my problem Ford, you figure it out..Can anyone explain this to me? Pardon my ignorance...

To me its all a mentality.. if you go anywhere and look for things to be wrong ... you will find them.. period. If you go to enjoy yourself then sure you may notice one or two things but I guaruntee that you will have a much happier time while your there.

Everyone seems to be hating on the FLE for some reasons that feel nitpicky ... and yes back in the day and all those arguments but you know what .. the little mermaid ride is great, and everything in FLE looks amazing. So just go and enjoy yourselves for a change

never worked in a large company before? :)

Motivations are not always shared between different teams.. let alone different groups.

Ever heard a child tell another to do something.. and the child says 'You can't make me!!' - well, it's basically that :) Until you get to a point in the org chart where someone has authority over both factions.. there is lots that can keep people from working together.

Who says they are? We are not sure what went wrong on Madame Wardrobe or what they're doing to fix it.

I think a better question would be: ever work for a government agency? hahaha talk about dysfunction!
