Expand your horizons. What's the point in going to a restaurant featuring food from a different country and then choosing something you could get in any pub or even easily make yourself? I'm not keen on Greek food but Mexican, Indian and Chinese food really floats my boat. I loves my spices.

Some of the best dishes I have had where when I let other people order for me.

The waiter who when I asked what sushi fish was good that night replied "Uhhhhhhhh, nothing is really good right now, but we just got in some really nice lobster today". When he asked how I wanted it prepared, I just said "whatever the Chef wants to do with it". Sort of like an erzats Omakase. I still don't know what they did to it, but is was quite good.

The Fillipino place where I let the Fillipino people I was dining with order family style. I still owe them payback for ordering "Soup No. 5", but then they ate it too, so I really can't complan. And honestly, it was tasty, and something else to claim I have eaten

The wedding rehersal dinner where I was served for the first time both jellyfish salad and fish swim bladder soup - both of which I had seconds (and thirds) of.

Bring it on - it might be tasty.
