When does Xmas decor go up each year?

After reading so many trip reports about the fabulous Disney Christmas decorations throughout the parks and hotels, it inspires me to plan for next year. Does anyone know when (around which week) Disney replaces fall for Christmas decor? Does it happen all in unison or is it done in stages? Just wondering if a December reservation is a must or if, like every store today, Christmas decor doesn't wait until after Thanksgiving.

Serious response - Right after Halloween.

Not-serious-response - Sometime after Easter. ;)

They keep stretching out when they hold Halloween parties, but they really can't do the same with Christmas. They tend to cram in as much as they can starting the day after Halloween.

MK gets decorated for Christmas the same night that the Halloween decorations come down, which will be either Oct 31 or Nov 1. The MK Christmas parties start a week later.

This year, Nov 18 was another milestone for Disney Springs, DAK, DHS, and Epcot to have their decorations and Christmas/Holiday streetmosphere in place. This year, Epcot's Candlelight Processional started the day before Thanksgiving (a few days earlier than previous years).

While it used to be that all the resorts and parks except the MK took their time to get geared up for Christmas by the end of November, it was clear that the target this year was for everything to be done before Thanksgiving.

That weekend of Mickey's Birthday they were still struggling to get all the Christmas stuff in place at Epcot. Daily they were still adding items into the Land as an example and more had been added after returning back last week. They got the big stuff up timely but the details they struggled with like trying to get the Christmas Tree at America to be more than half lit.

I went the last week of Oct 28 - Nov 5 in 2017. The MK was decorated by 11/3 and HS was decorated when we went on 11/4. There were no decorations up at the Poly by the time we checked out. It was a bit of a strange transition seeing Halloween at the MK and Christmas a few days later - It just didn't feel right but it was nice to see.

10/31 falls on a Thursday next year. Wouldn't be surprised to see another MNSSHP on 11/1.

Next year, Universal already announced HHN will start September 6th and it'll run till November 2nd. Expect Disney to have Halloween from about mid-August to October 31st/November 1st, Christmas will be the following day.

There were photos posted online the morning of November 1st this year showing some of the Christmas decorations were already in place on Main Street. The holidays are usually in full swing all around WDW around Thanksgiving. Give or take a few days.
They were up on the 1st of November this year believe the tree went up on the 3rd, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, and that's because...
