When does Early Magic Admission work? (e.g. early admission for a park when staying at a hotel that night, not night before)

We're planning a quick mid-Nov getaway and having trouble finding on-site hotels for our EPCOT day. Our plan is to stay at (blank hotel, TBD) on a Thursday night, go to EPCOT Friday morning, and stay at an on-site that evening (Friday evening). Since we have a hotel stay planned for that calendar day, does that get us early magic entry (or whatever they're calling it) for that day? Or does that only work if you had stayed the night before?

You get it on both your check-in and check-out day.

Should be both check-in and check- out days. Make sure you’ve done online check-in.

That is good news, I would think the new Disney mentality would make you only eligible after you have checked in, I would never have thought that way a year ago

That’s why I would make sure to do online check-in. Although if they can see you have a stay “today” it should be enough.
