when do you start packing??

We are leaving for WDW in 23 days! This is our first time flying and first trip to WDW. I want to be organized. When should I start packing?? I live in Michigan so packing summer clothes now isn't a problem. My 14 year old DS said "Mom, shoo uldn't you start packing for Disney?" Does he know more then me?? ( he thinks so)LOL

I am a list maker, too, so about a month before a trip, the list is started. The plan is to pack light, pick outfits that can be mixed and matched, including two pairs of comfortable, matching shoes, a sweater or two that goes with everything, And everything gets worn twice or it doesn't get packed. I have been able to pack remarkably light this way, and yet have everything I need.
Then the suitcase and matching tote bag comes out, and I slowly start to pack things...except that the clothes is packed the night before the trip.
With the planning all done in advance, I have less stress the day before the trip, to relax and get into vacation mode, and the less I have to worry about, the better.

I start packing terribly late the nite before and am usually running a tad late because I just might have forgotten something! :lol:

I thought I was being obsessive, so I'm glad to hear you all do that, too. I actually have one bag that is ready to go at a moment's notice, just in case. ( We live 2h away)

Absolutely, stepharoni - my husband will casually ask as soon as we get to our vacation destination, "You packed the _______, right???" :hammer:

You beat us by two weeks. We're there March 15-22. My brother and sister both told me I was becoming obsessive when I called them on Septeber 15th to say "Only six more months!" (but they're starting to get excited too, I can tell . . .)
