When did u know u were obsessed with WDW?

I do two things. First, I come here more than 5 times a day, and I buy two guide books every year. I read the books cover to cover (sometimes more then once) even though I already know the info.

I realized I was obsessed when I noticed I check this site five or six times daily and I look at the new Disney pins page daily :king:

I've always liked Disney and I've been going to Disney World since 1988 (almost every year). When I went in February 2003, I realized the Skyway was gone (so obviously it had been awhile since my last visit). When I came home, I went online to find out why it had closed. I came across many great sites, such as Yesterland, Widen Your World, and of course, WDW Magic! I found out so much great stuff from all these sites, like why the Rocket Rods in Disneyland had closed and what was replacing Horizons. And from then on, I was kind of just obsessed. Now my room is covered in Disney stuff and I go to WDW multiple times a year and it's pretty much all I talk about! :D

I went to Disney with my parents when I was 4, and didn't return til about 15. I remember buying a ton of souveniers, like a giant Spectro magic, sparkly sticker, with the 80's WDW logo, that I stuck on the front of my toybox and stared at everyday. As the years past after my first visit, I knew I went and I knew I loved it, but a four year old's memory starts to fade. It became this mystical, wonderful place i knew I went to, but I didn't feel like I knew if it existed or not. When I finally went back in 96, MGM was open and it was the 25th, so there was so much new things open. But it lived up to the hype in my mind. I've ben back every other year since.

I knew I was obsessed though last summer, when I discovered this site a month before a trip, and was on here all day, everyday. I even made a list of "did you know" facts and hidden mickey spots, to entertain/annoy my family.

I have always been enamored of Disney, always. My blankie from babyhood (which of course I still have) is Winnie the Pooh.

NO WAY!!! ME TOO!!! It's home at my parent's place in a drawer somewhere. It had a satin edge to it and it was sooo soft. I miss my Pooh. :(

-When you make 23 hours worth of park music CDs that you listen to on the car trip down to FL. And when you come to the parks you sing along with all of the rides and the fireworks shows.

-THat you create an office that has over 250 mickey heads on the walls with Mickey's gloves hidden around them.

-THat you create a Disney World themed bathroom with the full sized Mickey shaped mirror and mickey hands towel holder and the walls are decorated with the print of your DVC resort and a picture representing each of the 4 parks.

-THat you create a hidden mickey in a stain glass project you created for the front door of your house.

-That you take pictures of flowers at EPCOT's Flower and Garden show and come home and try to find them here AND you try to create a Mickey Head in your garden using the flowers your bought.

-When yo have guest over they eat on Mickey dishes and use Mickey silverware and drink from Mickey glasses.

-That all of your tshirts have something to do with Disney.

-Your tree topper is Tinker Bell and you have 2 versions of Tink that you can rotate from year to year.

-That you have DIsney Christmas village houses.

-You have enough antenna toppers for both both cars that every month you can put a new one on.

-That you integrate Mickey and Disney into your everyday job at work.

-THat you've used taped copies of Disney attractions in lessons in your classroom. (AKA Spaceship Earth)

That's it for now. If I think of anymore - I'll post.

I had the exact same thing. I use to rub my face against the edge of it when I was little. I wonder if I still have that blanket somewhere. I hope so.

Thought of another-

-YOu go to WDW and Disneyland in the same year!
Doing that this year!!!!! I'll be in MK on May 5th... then Disneyland and DCA in August. I've already warned the family since this is my first trip to DCA, I fully intend to explore each and every inch of it, for however long it takes!

Totally agree with you. We have 2 days planned for both parks! Can't wait. We'll be there from June 26th to July 2nd.

Hmmm when we got mine it was already pretty worn, second-hand, so it may have had a satin edge at one point. I dragged it along behind me everywhere though so it got really tattered, we kept having to fold the edges over and sew a new hem into it. Now it's all scraggly again.
Did yours have Pooh floating with the balloon and bees? That's what mine has.

Mine's still on the bed, in all it's ratty, transparent glory.

Ooooh that's me.
I have them all in a tupperware-type container and sometimes I even give them baths!
My pink Mickey had an unfortunate accident in a carwash the other day . . . got pulled off and I didn't notice until I got across town. I went back to get it and the man kindly stopped the car wash's power and walked in and SAVED PINK MICKEY!
He was a little dirty by then, though, so I had to give him a little scrub-down.
EDIT: The pink Mickey, that is, not the man at the carwash.

Yeah it did. I looked for a picture of it but couldn't find one and I have no clue where the blanket is. I think it white and had trees on it also (climbing a tree maybe? or maybe he was floating on the balloon in front of a tree. not sure.).

I laughed really hard when I read that.
