When can we do this again.....Never!

Sorry, but I keep scrolling back up to the thread headline and chuckling. Maybe it's the double soy latte I made before lunch, but I find the constant state of hysteria in some of these threads over every move Disney makes is simultaneously astonishing and hilarious. :D
Same here but I've been drinking Modelo's hand over fist here at the office.

Star Wars might be up there and apparently the DC fans are going nuclear over the bad reviews of Suicide Squad...petitioning for Rotten Tomatoes to be shut down over bad reviews.
Yeah that was a good one. Let’s shut down the site that reports the bad review; not the site that actually did the bad review.

Is there any group that does outrage quite like the Disney on-line community?

I've seen some pretty passionate reactions on video gaming sites that were out of control. The common theme across all boards seems to be customer entitlement; I've been a loyal fan to this game, theme park, brand, widget, investing my hard earned money for at least a decade, therefore I am entitled to demand the Sun, the Moon, and the stars. No company, not even a customer friendly one like Disney, has an obligation to bend over backwards to make anyone happy.

Star Wars fans aren't that bad but Star Wars toy collectors can go nuclear sometimes.

When they got rid of the SW EU, many fans were downright embarrassing...and I've read pretty much every SW book or comic ever published yet I was like, oh well. Was actually looking forward to it starting all over again as the universe became so convoluted, impossible to keep track of everything.

It's not just you, I notice it too. But it's not exclusive to Disney fans. Almost everything nowadays is extreme hysteria backed up by raging adjectives and exclamation points once only reserved for occasional use. Just look at political discourse today, on both the left and the right; political opinions are now described by the media as "hatred" or "war" or "racist" when it's really just political positions and various policy ideas on the valid issues of the day.

Oh, dear, I'm rambling. But the point is there appears to be an entire new generation who can't use the English language with nuance or balanced thought. Opinion now only comes in two approved flavors - AMAZING LOVE! or HATE-FILLED RAGE! And if you subscribe to something that doesn't align with that media-approved thought, you are "a hater" or "mean".

And Paint The Night is NEVER! coming back to Disneyland.
