I think Disney is turning it into a Good Neighbor parade.

I hear the parade is going away because the owners of Carousel Inn are demanding Disney entertain them nightly with the Paint the Night parade in exchange for allowing Disney to tear down their hotel.

It's because this info is already being discussed in another thread, and the assertion you have made that PTN will "never" return has been proved false by trustworthy insiders here. Paint The Night is closing for 10 weeks for refurbishment and will return to Disneyland for the 2016 Christmas season. Paint The Night will become a seasonal offering during busy periods, like Fantasmic! and like the Electrical Parade was for 40+ years at the Disneyland Resort.

End of story. Nothing mean about it.

Sorry, but I keep scrolling back up to the thread headline and chuckling. Maybe it's the double soy latte I made before lunch, but I find the constant state of hysteria in some of these threads over every move Disney makes simultaneously astonishing and hilarious.
