So, what are your favorite little quiet or secret spots?

Here are a few of mine:

MK - Tom Sawyer Island, path to the left of the fort as you approach, perfect little bench to watch BTMR. There is also a little bench between the castle and Cosmic Ray's as you walk the path behind the castle.

Epcot - The little nooks and crannys of the Morocco Pavillian. And the quiet path between JIYI and World Showcase.

MGM - Haven't really found one yet but someone please tell me. Echo Lake is a good bet.

AK - Just about anywhere. Especially aroung the Tree of Life. Also the little paths in Asia and small shelters around the main paths are pretty quiet.

Disney Villiage - I just love watching the kids run in the Mickey fountain. Makes me think of when I was a kid. Hey, I might try it too sometime!

One year, when we decided to sneak in cold sandwiches instead of paying $30 for lunch, we found the "green-roofed pavilion on the water's edge between Cinderella Castle and Tomorrowland," which was a dock for the defunct Plaza Swan Boats ride: http://home.cfl.rr.com/omniluxe/psb.htm . We could sit in the shade at little tables, eat, and enjoy the views of the castle, the river, and the rose garden entrance. We'd watch people come down the path in the rose garden, say "There's no ride here - it's just a dumb garden," and head back out! We were alone in the Magic Kingdom for a half hour each day. It was surreal. I'm not sure if it's still there or not.

We also like to walk the path around the lagoon with the leave a legacy pavers. I wish it would go all the way around though.

hhhmmm... I spent more than a year living there and can´t recall a quiet or secret place! However, I could tell you backstage spots! hehe :D

I can only remember AK being the most romantic one of the parks during the day. At night, I think my favorite is Epcot. In AK, I liked the white tigers area and the "observation deck", and I think I have also been to the "secret" path everybody talks about. It was very peaceful all the times, no kids yelling, people very quiet, just observing the tigers. In Epcot, the Fountain, the French pavillion, the French "island", Future World at night...etc. Those are romantic spots, not quiet or secret at all though!

Rose Path at Epcot

There's been some major improvements in the landscaping between the rose path and the bridge. What was formerly a lawn is now acres of colorful annuals.

This was probably done in preparation for the Flower & Garden festival... but I've never seen it looking quite so good.

The end of the pier at the Polynesian at night. Very relaxing and peaceful! You have the view of the castle, the sound of the water and the cool breezes. Haven't done it in a while, so I don't know if they still have the tropical music softly playing anymore, I hope they do! :)

At the Coronado Springs, there's a place called the Nature Trail, you wouldn't believe you are walking in a resort compound... It's quiet, it's wild, it's nature.

At the Wilderness Lodge, when you walk towards the lake, there's a pathway you can choose to follow which would bring you totally in the woods.... At one point, on an asphalt path, was very nervous because we heard a snake ramping in the grass... this place is so wild... you wouldn't believe at all you're in Disney.

We even thought about that place a few days ago when we saw a report on Discovery Channel, on Southeastern United States snakes.... scarry.

Here's a picture that savage neighbourhood!

This location is the best quiet location in the Magic Kingdom (except when the train goes by). It the springtime there are lots of flowers and the benches are availble. I believe this pathway was built about 4 years ago.

Now there's no fun in finding a secret path if we tell you. You knew that was going to be the answer.

I will say this. It's not very long, and unless the CM keep up with it, the entrance can get over grown. The way I found it was to walk the whole park, and look for places that look like they lead off on an unpaved path (and are not posted Staff Only). When you find a stream with some very well placed steping stones through it, you found it.

Don't get your hopes up real high, it not much of a trail at all, but it was cool just to say I found it.

Here's a picture of my wife on the path to prove it! :D

Oops...next post...

If I am thinking of the same path, it is the smokers' path between Africa and Asia. Just down from the bird show there is a path that leads off to a smoking area for guests. I have never been on that path but it's the only one I can think of.

Isn´t that path one that has a story in it? If you look on the stones on the floor, you can see the footsteps of a deer and right behind him, the ones of a tiger. Then, the ones of the deer dissappear, and if you look up to your right, there he is... on a tree... :(

Hmm, didn't see that Maria, but as you can see, the whole place was in need of a "haricut" so to speak. The path is actuall a loop that can be entered from either side, but one side was completly overgrown with ferns. I would have needed a machete to get through it. :)

I'll have to look for the tiger story next time down to WDW. :D

One place I love which is not quiet is the Dancing Fountain in Epcot. I loved sitting on over by the exit of Mousegears and watching it.

Another place that was sooo cool is the singing stones on the path leading to the World Showcase from Imagination. Unfortunately... they took out the stones. It was so cool there cause you could dance on them and they would sing for you. :) It's nice after a long days work when you are tired and worn out and dont' want to think to walk over them and have the acknowledge you. I wish they were still there :(.

My favorite quiet/secret place is...

In Adventureland. Ok, next to the DoleWhip place, right by the bridge that connects Main St. to Adventureland. There are tables, chairs, and fans. Its a great place to eat your DoleWhip, but the only drawback is that its the only designated smoking place in Adventureland :hurl:
This place brings back memories of my mom and I slurping our DoleWhips, oh I miss WDW!!

In Epcot. Fountain View Expresso and Bakery. The BEST creme brulee ever. Anway, there are tables and chairs outside of the restaurant, great view of the fountain. Its quiet, but not so "secret."
