Hey everyone was just wondering what kinda music the WDW Members listen to.

I am a big classic rock fan my favorite bands would be Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and the Beatles.

For modern music I like Tool, A Perfect Circle, Incubus, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Dream Theater, stuff along that nature any great rock music pretty much.

Although personal i appreciate and enjoy most types of music..

you gotta be a little less broad with your options there. Especially now a days...rock isnt just ROCK anymore...nor is rap only rap...it branches off into dozens upon dozens of sub-genres..which...sadly..sets yet another deviding line between what some people like and what some people hate...within the same overall genre group.

good poll, but a hard one for me to pick just one! i enjoy rock, but classic rock (Beatles; Fleetwood Mac; Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young) and very little modern rock (Incubus and Audio Slave, maybe a few others).
i HATE rap and r&b.
some pop i like (i was more into that during my junior high/earlier high school years)
i enjoy jazz, big band, swing, blues, etc.
i like very little country, but i do enjoy bluegrass (LOVE Nickel Creek)
and i like international music (which, of course, wasn't a choice on the poll...but i thought i'd mention it anyway)
and, of course, Disney theme park music!

btw, good points, Now Inc!

As a music freak it is nearly impossible to put limitations on music...so I can't even begin to think about which genre suits me best...Up until recently I thought all rap and R&B was crap...although for the most part it still would not be my 1st choice of music..I now can appreciate it as long as the music comes from the heart...and not some 50 cent like person being told exactly what gangsta poses he should emulate...although it is still tough for me to see the artistry in any country music.

I'll listen to anything but Rap & Heavy Metal. Mostly Classic Rock, New Age & Country. Have Jim Brickman on right now.

If you check my sig, you will find a lyric from one of the most intelligent, musically diverse, and all together talented bands--Barenaked Ladies.

Now, if I only had a $1,000,000....

Beyond that, I seem to like Disney park music a whole heck of a lot! Refections on Earth, anyone?:D

Something like this has been done before but I will only list my top bands. . .

The Beatles
Van Halen
Kansas
Def Leppard
Bon Jovi
Jars of Clay
Newsboys

There are more, lots more, but these would be the groups I like most.

On Thursday night, PBS did an encore presentation of the concert for George. A George Harrison tribute concert held 1 year after he died. It was a great show and had me really thinking, who in todays genre has the staying power of the artists of George's time? The music of the Beatles and Harrison is truly timeless. With the glut of singers, boy bands, and gansta rap, the music of today hardly qualifies as music. Somebody else writes it, somebody else plays it and the artisit sings it (sing being a strong word). Just a rant.

Looks like i'm the only one who voted in the Rap, R&B and what ever else is in that GOOD category....

Yes, I do infact enjoy that genre of music. Right now, favorite artists include Kanye West, Twista, J-Kwon, Ludacris, OutKast, Lil Jon, Beyonce, T.I., and Murphy Lee. My favorite songs now include "Yeah!," which is by Usher along with Ludacris and Lil Jon, and "Slow Jamz," which is by Twista along with Kanye West and Jamie Foxx.

Now don't get me wrong--just because I like hip-hop/rap the most doesn't mean i'm not a fan of other music--because I enjoy classic and modern rock as well. I'm a huge Aerosmith fan for example. I also enjoy Coldplay, Metallica, Trapt, and Blink 182. I play the electric guitar and am even in a band with a few other friends.

I also love movie scores. The best one IMO is the score to Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. Klaus Badelt really put together an amazing score. Other favorite composers are John Williams, Alan Silvestri, and Danny Elfman.

I gotta say, I do enjoy classical music as well.:D

i can't believe i almost forgot movie scores! NemoRocks, thanks for reminding me, even though i'm sure you didn't mean to! :animwink:
yeah, Indiana Jones, The Mummy, Chocolat, Last of the Mohicans (sp?), and so many others...my all time favorite being Lord of the Rings, of course (Fellowship's the best, imo) aaaand, I'm gonna go see Howard Shore's concert in Atlanta this June...I'm so excited :sohappy: i've never been to anything like that before!

oh! and I almost forgot Rockapella! love those guys! i've seen them in concert twice and they're even better in person. you all may remember them from their days of singing the theme for Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego? and their commercials for Folger's. :D

Yeah, Movie Scores are great!

I'm quite partial to the score of Field of Dreams (jack Horner). I also usually like the work of James Newton Howard.
