Whats your Disney trip gadget layout?

I'm a bit old school. We drive to Florida, and we burn CD's for each hour of the trip. I have an iPod, but DH & I like to listen to old CD's where we don't know what's on them. It's fun to relive old memories through our old music. We bring a laptop, because we own a small business where we work from home, so we have to have the laptop for after the parks to catch up on a little work. My most important "gadget" is my Disney Passporter book to journal my trip, and to keep little souvenirs in.

As far as in the parks, I just bring my camera. I don't have a smart phone or ipad. DH has a smart phone, but doesn't really use it in the parks. We're big picture people, so a good camera is a must!

On my last trip my wife and I brought our phones down but they stayed in the safe in our room. We also had two camera's mine with a better zoom for further away stuff and my wife's that is small and fits into a pocket which is what we brought with us most days.

This trip we will have more with us. There will be 7 of us so a few of us will have phones to keep in contact including my android that will have our ADR's and a Disney app or two. We will also have a few cameras I'm sure and my hard drive camcorder. I've toyed with bringing my laptop just to be able to move videos and photos to it each night to free space up but I'm worried about where to keep it and I'm not sure if I want to be that plugged in.

I used to leave my phone in the room a lot, but now I don't like to be in the parks very often without the Lines app. When I don't take the phone, I find myself wanting to check something and being bummed that I can't

On trips, I toss a magazine, iPad and iPhone into my purse. The magazine (or Kindle, for long flights) is just for the plane.

Sometimes I'll take a camera or video along. I'd did more video when my mom was alive. She always wanted to see everything and asked me to tape stuff for her.

We drive since we're only 160 miles away, but even though my car can find it's own way there, I still bring the GPS - so we know when we'll get there, and to make sure we don't get lost driving on property.

Wife and I both have iPhone 4Ss, son has my old iPhone 3g set up as an iPod. Both kids bring DS with them for in the car (and son for after the parks waiting for everyone else to get ready for bed) wife and both kids usually bring their point and shoot cameras; I pack my Nikon DSLR, lenses, and flash...sometimes tripod. Netbook for holding pics at night, cleaning off the memory sticks. If I'm reading something interesting at the time, I'll bring my Kindle...but not always.

Yeah, we are pretty tech loaded on our trips...probably way too much. Son has stoped carrying his camera so much, and I don't always carry my DSLR, but all of those things are usually with us no matter what.

We took a nice vacation to the mountains of North Carolina this summer. I carried TWO bags of electronics - my camera bag, and a laptop bag with computer and all the chargers for our other electronics!

On the plane I will bring a book or magazine. This next trip I will have my Kindle Fire. But since I will be high on Xanax, I probably won't even pull it out. The kid will have her phone. She can do anything on it and the hubby will have his Iphone. In the parks we each have a phone but we only use it if we get separated or we are waiting to meet up with someone. I usually bring my digital slr but this upcoming trip I just want a p&s. My other camera is just to heavy for me to carry around. Oh, and I bring our laptop to leave in the room just to upload my pictures everynight.

I enjoy looking at the SkyMall magazine when on the plane. It's something I get to do only when I fly and I enjoy paging through it. I normally fall dead asleep not soon after takeoff and my husband wakes me up to have a diet coke when the flight attendants come around. Then it's a little SkyMall before napping again, and then it's another coke, and a brief second nap and we are in Orlando.

I only take my phone and my digital camera with me to the parks. My husband has an old laptop he lugs around for email and things in the hotel but I have never had a laptop. I thought about getting an iPad but realized I would almost never use it except on vacation and I'd rather put that money in the vacation fund instead of spending it on an iPad.

Our first trip we didn't take electronics other than a phone and DS for the plane. This time will be different as my son is 18 and can't live without electronics. I foresee two laptops, smartphones and DS for the trip. We will be using the Disney apps on our phones this trip and like I said, 18 year old doesn't know how to make it an hour without his smartphone :O

I like to keep it simple and light. Just taking my cell phone and p&s camera into the parks. We will take our Kindle Fire for our daughter to play with on the flight from CMH.

For us it is the Iphone, P&S(Point and Shoot) Camera, and DSLR Camera. Although useing the Iphone as a P&S works pretty good so not even sure if i will bring that next time.

I gave away my camera to my mom a while ago. I realized I just never use it anymore.

I now only carry my Blackberry and use it for all my photo needs. If someone doesn't think that is enough, then they can bring a camera.

I brought my laptop so I could do work check-ins, and just have something to waste time with while resting in the room. If it wasn't for having to do a bit of work while away I would have just brought my iPad. I asked my girlfriend if she wanted to take it, but she wanted her laptop too so the iPad stayed home.

For the plane ride I had my iPod for music and I had a book. Yes a paperback book.

For anytime I fly I just hate carrying around so much technology. It wastes all my carry on space because I just expect that if I check any of it, they are going to lose or break something. The only electronic I check is my electric razor and only because I had to deal with the dumbest TSA agent ever over it once.

A paperback book on whatever I'm reading at the time, my old fashion cellphone that does nothing fancy except text and takes bad pictures, and my camera.

Running my own business full time+ I guess I am the antithesis of this thread as I shed every single piece of technology and communication possible to truly enjoy my vacation. I actually enjoy the crinkle and smell of a magazine and having to look at a good ole fashioned park map as needed. Only 25 years until retirement !!!

There will be 4 of us on our next trip. 2 adults and 2 children (7 and 10). We will have 3 smart phones, 2 tablets, a kindle fire, 2 ipods, and a P&S camera. I think I am going to have to pack 2 power strips!
