Whats with the Epcot Fountain Super Shooters?

Towards the end they shoot up extra fast and no pop, totally different from that they usually do.By any chance are they replacing hardware?

Last time we were there, we didn't even see the Fountain shooting up...I recall back in 94, my first time at WDW that the fountain would do its thing multiple times a day.
Earlier this year, didn't see it happening ever.

The last time we were there (Dec. 2014) the fountains "played" to the tune of different Christmas songs several times throughout the course of our trip. At the end, the finale would be all of the jets shooting up bursts of water as fast as they could for maybe about 15 seconds. It didn't really go with the song that was finishing, just kind of a "proof of awesomeness" water show finale moment.

I don't believe they were the air cannons.

Shame about the misaligned jet. And the faulty leaking valve.

I don't know what to make of it any more... Every time it gets to this point I wonder is its the last of the foubtain or if they will revive it again. This time it's pretty bad, my other fear is that they will get it, replace all the hardware as well as the music and new music might not be a good thing, expecially with frozen being one of the highest grossing movies.
