I was with family this weekend at MK and they were asking me who's staying in the castle suite nowadays. I didn't have an answer. Anyone know? VIPs? Celebrities? Sitting empty?

Yes, yes, and yes, as well as possible contest winners and other people receiving awards/prizes. I am sure that other times it is empty.

Colleagues of mine at another travel agency recently spent a night in the Suite.

On my last trip I was informed that at the present it is used almost always by special promotion and give-a-ways that Disney sponsers with other companies.

someone told me that Disney staff selects a random park guest for a one night stay if the the room isn't booked... is this just far out there?

This is awesome for Make a Wish Foundation! I think it's cool if ____ (is it cast members who select guests) choose guests to stay there! I'd love it--so cool, it seems!

I doubt that Make a Wish would be using it. They send their families to Give Kids the World off of 192. They have villas and bungalos to stay in along with meals for them and special activities each night. I volunteer down there quite frequently and I've never heard of a WISH family staying at the Castle suite.

From what I was told it was not regularly used for make a wish. A more correct term would be very rarely used for make a wish. Of course the person who told me this could be completely full of crap but the probability of that is not too high.
