I was wondering about the construction by the PI entrance...it looked like they were just adding more ponds for decoration...
But there is a lot of small construction going on in that whole area...

Nope. That's not it. It was literally AROUND DTD. Around the outside perimeter.

Yes, that is the construction I am talking about. I waas wondering what it was. It didn't look like road improvements, but it could be I guess. Anyway, I'd love it if a CM maybe knew about this.

Could the construction your talking about have something to so with the new DVC being built next door? Protective to keep the shoreline clear and decorative to hide the construction going on?

Date: 04/12/2002

Construction activity has increased at the intersection of Buena Vista Drive and Hotel Plaza Boulevard. Delays in the area are expected.
The intersection should remain congested through July 30.

Cast Members are encouraged to avoid this intersection if possible. If it's not possible to avoid this area, use caution and allow additional travel time.

This construction is part of a traffic-flow improvement project that will continue through January 2003.

Thank you, Rob! This is exactly what I was talking about. I am glad to hear they plan on having it get a little better by July. I will be there again in Sept, and I will be happy if it is better by then. It took forever to get through that area some days!!!

actually, when I was there in February, there was a fairly bad accident right at that intersection going to Pleasure Island. So, I guess this really is needed
