i am planning a trip for March and want to do a fireworks cruise with my girlfriend and another couple, but we are just not sure which one is better. The Illimunitions cruise or the 7 seas lagoon cruise. I know it is kind of up to preference on the show, but as far as view, setting, location, which cruise is better, or do both have good qualities? please help us out.

thank you

Honestly I think the Wishes fireworks cruise is better. As awesome as Illuminations is, it's just not the same when you aren't standing around the logoon. With Wishes the fireworks go so high that it's magical from just about anywhere nearby.

Heading for the great escape.
I did the illuminations cruise and it was excellent. Its not only the fireworks but the boat trip we had before and after. Very relaxing and the captain was just full of useless Disney trivia and small talk, he made it money well spent. The fact that we had a seated unrestricted view and a whole new angle on the proceedings just freshened up the show.

i would do it again and it was worth all those attempts on the phone to get a booking.

I have done them both and you can't go wrong with either. The one at MK is great, because of the wonderful fireworks show...but the Illuminations does include more. My only advise is that you are getting really close and you need to book ASAP. I don't know now how many days out Disney allows you to book, but they do book very quickly...so keep that in mind. Have a wonderful experience with either that you choose.

It's $175 for "Breathless" a boat that I guess is pretty nice and seats 10 I think and it's 120 for a plain ole pontoon boat that also seats 10 I think.... there is only 4 of us so it would only be about 30 each plus tax

BUT... they are all booked when we are there so we are just going to have to keep calling and hope that someone cancelled! Wish us luck!

The Breathless is a high HP(350 cu in mercruiser engine) chriscraft replica speedboat. I'd be surprised if it fit 7, definately not 10.

The pontoon boats are your best bet for parties that large.

I definately want to try one on my next trip.

Call the Y&B front desk or concierge for info on the Breathless in particular. I've seen pontoon cruises leaving from the Boardwalk dock so i would assume the Boardwalk folks could help you out with that.

Also, this type of thing falls under Disney's recreation staffing, so if there's a number for that, i'm sure they could help you out as well.
