What's it like working at WDW?

AK has Pride Rock (Aramark) and then Castasorous which is Disney operated one that is hamburgers, hotdogs, turkey sub and McD's nuggets, blah.

But I agree with Disney on the costume thing.....

Thanks for the replies, I knew I was asking the right people. I know that with any job, if you don't like what you're doing, everything is going to seem like a chore. At my deli there are some days I just want to kick everyone out and lock the door. But overall I love my job and with a little luck someday I love working at WDW.

P.S. If SUBWAY is the best they could do for subs, maybe I should move my Italian deli to Downtown Disney :lol:

so all of you are telling me that Aramark is all of a sudden good (not counting AK and Resorts which have always been decent),

I remember the days when we'd have 5-6 CM's get food poisoning from the Mouseketeeria...

I'm not saying Aramark is food service excellence, but I'll take the variety I can get there over what we have at DTD. We are stuck with only McDonald's. Considering I only like 2 or so things on the lunch menu, it gets old fast.

I think Disney needs to change the costume rules for Downtown Disney. Not so much that it becomes just another shopping plaza--but come on... is a guest really going to be angry to see someone with blue shorts that say recreation in line at Wolfgang Pucks? It's not like i'm wearing a full Mission: Space costume

when I worked at the Westside or when I did special events anywhere else in DTD, we actually preferred McDonalds... or we'd wear an undershirt and eat onstage since we got discounts anyway. I lived at Wolfgang Puck Express those days
