What's going on the 3rd week of March?

So, I'm trying to get back to Orlando during spring break, which is March 13th throuhg 21st.
I was looking at packages online. and there seem to be quite a few hotels that are booked. Then I looked at Disneyworld.com, and the park hours are slightly extended for that week.
Is this just the general Spring Break rush? (seems early to me) Or is there something else going on?

I think you answered your own question...it's Spring Break!!!


Mid March -mid April is one of the busiest times at WDW.

Both my out of state college student daughter and elementary student son have Spring Break starting on the 13th of March.

I know were already booked for march. Plus there was a special discount for the time frame that ended the first week of feb. so a lot of people probably got in on that.

I'm going along with The Mom on this one...Spring Break. Ours is 2 weeks after yours.

All-Star Dance and Cheer competitions will also be taking place in March meaning another large group of them in.

I'm pretty sure at least one group of them will be there during your period of travel.

yeah, that time is Spring Break time. That's my favorite time. I hate the crowds but it's sure nice having the park open later just to roam around. I love night time at the Magic Kingdom and going at this time allows for later visits!
