Hello all was wondering if anybody had a site or could tell me what are some of the new shows, attractions, and rides planed for the future. We will be coming back to Disney in October of 2010. Thanks for your time! John

Yeah, besides Toy Story Mania and American Idol at DHS, nothing really has been announced past that, but I'm sure something will be coming...there's too much activity coming to Universal and the other local parks

The only possible for sure thing thats we know of already thats coming back, is MNSSHP, and that's if they don't change the party and name around(which is unlikely, I'm just throwing it out there that nothing is set in stone this far in advance).

I predict there will be nothing new in 2010 except a refreshed SM! But 2011 should be another story entirely (just my opinion).

A few possible maybes...

Refurbed Space Mountain.
Refurbed possibly re-imagined Imagination pavilion.
Flamingo crossing construction should be well underway with the possibility of a few open stores and or hotels.
4 seasons construction should be near completion if not open.
DVC at the Contemporary should be near completion if not open.
T-rex will be open at DTD.
New south American restaurant could be in DTD.
American Idol should be open at DHS.
There is a slim chance that Stat Tours 2.0 might be done or being worked on.
The Virgin mega store might be replaced.

Sorry to edit your post but was trying to make a point. Notice that everything that is under construction now (MANY NEW HOTEL ROOMS!) should be done by the end of 2010. Also all park attractions announced are well underway and should be done by 2009. There is a lack of rumors about new attractions except SM refurb which is slated to be done by 2010 (and will be a major draw that year). So I have concluded that now that Disney knows what it is up against at Sea World and Universal and Busch Gardens, I expect they will start implementing their strategy for 2011. It takes about 3 years to build new attractions from start to finish. So I expect to see major groundbreaking soon targeting new attractions for 2011. Just think, all those new hotel rooms will be ready for visitors and the new attractions will be coming on line. Disney will then be in perfect position to capitilize on the 40th Anniversary of WDW! (Caution: The preceding is pure conjecture on my part) :D

The truth is if Disney doesn't have anything major at WDW for the debut of Harry Potter at Universal its pretty much game over. Cartoon tie-ins and a space mountain refurbishment that should have been completed years ago aren't going to cut it.

I seriously doubt that. Sure they will take a temporary hit at the gate but WDW will not go into financial ruin because of Potter land at IOA.

To paraphrase Shakespeare "One land does not a theme park empire make."

question........... is there anything in the works for another attraction in world showcase....just wondering?????
That is the rumor, I have my doubts about it and certainly not before 2011.

By the way, just to stir things up. I hear they may be seriously considering putting the Star Wars II attraction in Tomorrowland as it is at Disneyland. Stay tuned.

Um...I have nothing really to add to the discussion other than...Your avatar is the most awesome one I have ever seen. I think I played that game until my eyes bulged.

Also...:ROFLOL::ROFLOL::ROFLOL: at Enigma...

I can see them nailing a big wooden board over the turnstiles with "Closed" panted on it. Bob Iger would probably be there shaking his fist in the air, "If only we had listened to Enigma! It would not be game over right now!"

Game over....
