Whatever Happened to Stitch's Great Escape? Any Updates on That Space?

Stitch is way too popular to not have a ride/attraction, and the new live action will only exacerbate that issue.
EXACTLY! That is why I was always surprised they closed the attraction, or that they haven't done the Muppets Route. Creating a new ride after closing the original. Maybe they'll be plans after the movie? Isn't D23 around the corner?

Personally I always thought Stitch should evict Buzz across the street and take over there. But that's just me

Did that used to be where the Monster's Laugh Floor was, or am I mistaken about that. As I recall, when I rode Alien Encounter years ago it was a bit much for families with lots of screaming.

I think Stitch has a problem in that in order for his ride to fit Tomorrowland you have to focus on the space part, which was a very small piece of the movie and leaving out most of what made him enjoyable. Even when he's still a little monster I think more people remember stuff like building San Francisco just to dismantle it more than the prison breakout.

Then again, a large amount merchandise nowadays is a "have you seen the film?" jumble of Stitch, Angel, and Scrump, occasionally with stupid slogans, so maybe I'm in a minority in regards to considering that a problem.

Extremely high levels of guest complaints because most people didn’t know what they were walking into.
Depends on what they mean by high levels. Thousands went to that attraction every week and what percent of them complained? They could say 1% is a high level.

Look at it this way. 8 million people live in New York City and when 200 people show up somewhere to protest something they call that a lot. 1% of 8 million is 80 thousand. 58 million visit WDW every year and if 1% complained that would be 580 thousand people. Do you think that many complained about how scary Alien Encounter was?

I could say that 57 million liked the ride or didn't find it scary enough to complain.

Having worked in retail, I can tell you that ONE negative comment can negate 500+ positive reviews on social media…correct me if I’m wrong, but I think approximately 20k people signed the social media petition about Splash…out of how many millions that enjoyed it…look what happened…it don’t take much…I enjoyed Stitch…

We'll never know the answer to that, but high enough they felt the need to get rid of it.

Villains Land is unlikely to be scary. Certainly not remotely on the level of Alien Encounter.
Why would anyone want it to be? For that to be the case the villains would have to be scarier than they are in the movies they’re from. From what I understand universals monsters attraction doesn’t even go as far as alien encounter did.

On that level would be nice. I would love something darker than Not so Scary.

I didn't quote, but it was in response to people upthread discussing Villains Land and Alien Encounter.

Look at how they were so desperate to save Mr Toad's Wild Ride and all we got was a pile of Pooh...

Unpopular but I'm okay with it not being scary. I prefer creepy like Halloween all year round. Remember when they had Zombie Captain America during Oogie Boogie Bash and there were people complaining that it was too scary and inappropriate for a Disney park. Mind you he was just in one spot and not roaming around scaring people and yet people still complained.
